1 MCE Commercial Joint Cost Comparisons As part of our mutual commitment to support your energy choice, MCE and have partnered to create a comparison of our typical electric rates and average monthly charges. Most business customers use the COM-1 ( Equivalent A-1) rate but comparisons for all residential rate schedules are below. For detailed MCE rates, visit Definitions Generation Rate is the cost of creating electricity to power your home. The generation rate varies based on your energy provider. Delivery Rate is a charge assessed by to deliver electricity to your home. The delivery rate depends on your electricity usage, but is charged equally to both MCE and customers. PCIA/FF represents the Power Charge Indifference Adjustment (PCIA) and the Franchise Fee surcharge (FF). The PCIA is a charge to cover s generation costs acquired prior to a customer s switch to a third-party electric generation provider. acts as a collection agent for the Franchise Fee surcharge, which is levied by cities and counties for all customers. Determining Your Rate Schedule Need help finding your electric rate? Your rate schedule is indicated on the Electric Delivery Charges detail page of your bill, typically the third page. An example is circled below in orange for a customer on the E-1 (MCE Equivalent RES-1) rate schedule.
