1 Energy Tariffs and Associated Charges As permitted by Ergon Energy The tariffs applied to the on-supply arrangement are in-line with the local area retailer s standing offer (Ergon Energy). The following tables are an excerpt from the tariffs and charges section on the Ergon website as at 16 September Small business tariffs Small businesses tariffs are designed to meet the unique energy needs of our small business customers, using less than 100MWh per year. General supply tariffs On a general supply tariff, you pay for the electricity you use at a flat rate throughout the day and night, plus a service fee. Tariff 20 General Supply This tariff is the most common tariff for small businesses, providing a continuous supply of electricity day and night at a flat rate. It's suitable for small businesses that use most of their electricity during the daytime. All consumption - cents per kwh Service fee - cents per day Demand tariffs On a demand tariff, you're charged for the total amount of electricity you use plus a demand charge and a service fee. The demand charge is based on measuring the maximum amount of electricity you use at any point during your billing period. When you choose a demand tariff, your whole business must be connected to that tariff. 1

3 Tariff 22 General Supply Time of Use During the peak period between 7am and 9pm on weekdays, Tariff 22 is priced higher than in the off-peak period. It's generally better suited to businesses with a good proportion of night and weekend electricity usage. This tariff will be phased out for Ergon Energy customers no later than 30 June 2017 and is not available to new customers. The demand is a measure of the maximum amount of electricity used at any one time. The chargeable demand in any is the maximum demand recorded in that, or 60 percent of the highest maximum demand recorded in any of the preceding eleven s, or 75kW, whichever is the highest figure. 8 Tariff 43 (Large) Demand Time of Use (Obsolescent) This tariff has a charge for the total amount of electricity used (kwh), plus a demand charge (kw), for the relevant billing period. The demand is a measure of the maximum amount of electricity used at any one time. The chargeable demand in any is the maximum demand recorded in that, or 60 percent of the highest maximum demand recorded in any of the preceding eleven s, or 400kW, whichever is the highest figure.
