3 Diode 810 SHR Pro Technology Traditional method The pain associated with laser hair removal is dependant on the amount of energy that is being applied to the skin with each laser/light pulse. Because the areas containing chromophores (root and bulb) are destroyed at 50 C - 60 C, the way that the energy is delivered to reach this temperature will dictate the level of discomfort. Traditional bulk heating methods effectively raise the root, bulb and surrounding area to the therapeutic temperature, but cause intense pain due to the high energy delivered in a single pulse. Pulsed stacking SHR technology employs low fluence, high average power, with super fast pulses. SHR does not solely target melanin as the principle chromophore. Instead, SHR focuses on progressively raising the temperature of the sub-dermal layer of the skin in a step-wise fashion. Grid method During SHR treatment, energy is applied over a large grid, not just the region of the hair follicle. The grid method of treatment ensures that all hair follicles absorb the energy, dramatically improving treatment results, while significantly reducing treatment time.
