SJC Classroom Equipment Our goal at Information Technology Services (ITS) is to provide the highest level of technical support and customer service to all San Jacinto College students and employees. TURNING ON THE SYSTEM Tap the screen on the Touch Screen Panel 1. Tap on System Power a pop up menu will display on the screen 2. Press On to turn on the LCD. You can choose an individual TV if you do not need dual display 3. Select Exit to close the pop up menu AVAILABLE RESOURCES Rack PC PC located in the podium Doc Cam Document Camera located on top of the podium Lectern Top VGA, HDMI, and RCA inputs available for devices you bring (ie. Personal Laptop) USB Ports located in Lectern Top input area. Plug in your USB to access on the Rack PC

SELECTING A SOURCE TO DISPLAY 1. Tap on Source Select a pop up menu will display on the screen 2. Tap on the Source that you want to display to the device named at the top of the column. a. Left LCD LCD on the left as you face the TVs b. Right LCD LCD on the right as you face the TVs c. Lectern Monitor Monitor on the podium 3. Select Exit to close the pop up menu 4. Current Source Selection will show the sources you selected per display device. It only displays current status; it does not access the Source Select Menu. OTHER FEATURES Volume Control Located on the right hand side of the Touch Screen Panel. 1. Press the up and down arrows to raise and lower the volume. The center button between the arrows will mute and un-mute audio. Video Mute Located on the bottom right hand side of the Touch Screen Panel 1. The button displays current status. Tap on the button to switch between Video Mute ON and OFF. ALL OFF a. Video mute ON will black out the image to the projectors b. Video mute OFF will display the sources that you have selected to display Located on the bottom left hand side of the Touch Screen Panel 1. Press the All Off button to turn off the projectors and raise the screens a. Projectors will require a cool down time of 5 minutes before turning on again

VIDEOCONFERENCE INSTRUCTIONS Follow the instructions labeled Turning on the System to turn on the LCD TVs. Click on Video Conferencing to access the menus below. The Main Menu button at the bottom of the screen will return you to the Main Menu to allow you to turn off the system. Camera Control 1. Select the camera to use for your presentation. a. Front Camera is the camera located at the front of the room above the two LCD TVs b. Rear Camera is located at the back of the room above the single LCD TV 2. Zoom zooms the camera in and out. Note that zooming in will show fewer seats and should only be used with smaller classes. 3. Move Camera use the arrow buttons to move the camera left to right or up and down.

Control Originating a Videoconference Session 1. Tap Control at the bottom of the touch screen to access the Control Menu. 2. Directory Click Directory to access the Favorites folder and find a pre-programmed IP address for another room in the college district. Click Select to access the folder. 3. Menu Control use the arrows to scroll through the list and click Select to place the call. 5 SJC Information Technology Services

Sending Content 1. Tap Source at the bottom of the touch screen to access the Source Select Menu. 2. Send Source to Video Conferencing - Select a source to send as content to the videoconference call. 3. Content - Click on the Content Button to send the source. This is a toggle button so if you click it again it will stop sending the source. 4. Send Source to Lectern Monitor - You have an option to send that source (or any other source that you like) to the Lectern Monitor. By default Video Conference (the image displayed on the Left LCD TV) is sent to the Lectern Monitor. 6 SJC Information Technology Services

Keypad Placing a call that is not saved to Favorites 1. Control From the control menu select the Home button and select the Place a Call option on the video conference screen. 2. Click on Keypad at the bottom of the touch screen to access the Keypad menu. 3. Use the Keypad to enter the number. 4. Call/Hang Up you can place the call or hang up on the call from this menu. 7 SJC Information Technology Services
