Optional Students Participating: 8 to 12 Students participate: Individually Students commit to a semester and volunteer a minimum of 8 hrs/wk. Student administrative tasks reflect their field of business study such as marketing, accounting, database creation and maintenance, etc. Interns are knowledgeable in their subject, but they require some training and periodic feedback. Many interns choose to continue volunteering more than one semester, and they gain even more knowledge and contribute more with continued service. Semester Volunteer Semesters: Fall (Aug-Dec) / Spring (Jan-May) / Summer (May-Aug) Required? Optional Students Participating: any member Students participate: Individually CLD members contribute 2-10 hours per week doing hands on service for an agency. Through direct service, to create active citizens who will advocate for their cause. Along with providing the volunteer opportunity, it would be helpful if the agency includes educational information about the mission of the program, and possible ways the student may continue helping on a higher or long term level. One Time Events Semesters: Fall (Aug-Dec) / Spring (Jan-May) Required? Optional Students Participating: 5-50 Students participate: As a Group Group size/s: 5-50 Throughout the school year, CLD members volunteer together on projects within the community. These can range from house building with Habitat to a holiday party with Boys and Girls Club to garden maintenance with Mother Hubbard s Cupboard. (and many more- we're open to hearing about your needs!) To expose students to ways to get involved in community service. Including a bit of education about the cause the student is working on helps inspire students to commit more service time to the cause.

We try to get students connected with service/volunteer interest areas while also connecting students to other students interested in serving the community. Fall & Spring Service Days Semesters: Fall (Aug-Dec) / Spring (Jan-May) Required?: Optional Students Participating: 250 Students participate: Individually / Group Group size/s: 10-40 We would like to connect with local agencies to provide one-time service opportunities for first year students and campus leaders once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. This new program is designed to continue building relationships between students and local agencies for continued service opportunities.
