Home From the Chancellor Today s students desire practical, real life, hands on experience under experienced dynamic visionaries and leaders that are making a difference. London School of Ministry follows the word of Ecclesiastes 4:12, a triple braided cord is not easily broken. The 3 dimensions of LSM are: exposure to a life-giving environment where information, demonstration and impartation molds, equips and empowers leaders to be world changers, thus fulfilling the Ephesians 4:11-12 mandate to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. Our purpose is to serve you, in fulfilling your vision for life and ministry, knowing one-size" does not fit all. LSM is a school of leadership that offers a flexible lifegiving curriculum that emphasizes: The empowerment of the Holy Spirit as essential for leadership. Evangelism and outreach to the lost and unreached people groups. Church planting as the best form of evangelism. Principles of church health and growth so a church is life-giving. Our prayer is that you will enjoy your equipping experience in this exciting new School designed with you in mind. In His service, Dr. Garnet Pike

Home From the Director Our vision is to equip and empower leaders to establish vibrant, Spirit-filled churches throughout the World. London School of Ministry is all about enabling leaders and churches to: 1) Evangelise 2) Equip believers for greater fruitfulness and service 3) Plant daughter-churches. LSM has the advantage of being sponsored by the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC), a world-wide network of churches of diverse cultures and backgrounds who are committed to unity and practical success in fulfilling Christ s mandate to make disciples everywhere by the power of Holy Spirit. Along with the academic requirements, our school has dynamics of far greater importance. As you join LSM you move into a life-changing experience of growth and spiritual enlightenment. Your vision will expand. Your grasp of God s Word will be strengthened. Your ability to hear and know the Holy Spirit s leading will become keen. You will be more confident in the Lord s calling and gifting in your life. Thus, your ministry will have more impact. All successful graduates will have an opportunity to apply for ministry credentials, such as, license and ordination within IPHC in the United Kingdom (IPHC-UK). We eagerly embrace those who want to preach Jesus and demonstrate His Kingdom no matter their church affiliation. We look forward to getting to know you and participating as the Lord pours His blessings into your life through this course of training. Your in Christ Power and Grace, Harold G. Presley Director of London School of Ministry Director if IPHC-UK

Home LSM Distinctions A NEW MODEL: SCHOOL OF MINISTRY The Spirit of God is moving in these last days in new creative ways. Part of His work is a new model of equipping leaders. Churches are returning to a biblical model of raising up and equipping their own leaders in the context of the local church. Rather than extract ministry leaders from their roots and heritage in the real world of the local church and sending them away into an unreal academic context and community, ministry students are being left intact in the local church for their training. These church based schools of ministry allow leaders to grow where they are planted. The purpose of LSM is to fulfill the mandate of Ephesians 4:11-12 in order to equip and prepare believers to fulfill the ministries God has called and prepared for them (Ephesians 2:10). LSM is designed to be a vital ministry to Christendom in the United Kingdom and especially to the International Pentecostal Holiness Churches. We value the real world environment of the local church where people are saved, discipled, and discover and deploy their spiritual gifts. It is our conviction that it is in this same environment that the most effective equipping for service can take place under the oversight of the local pastor, local church and regional ministry leadership. Next

Home LSM Distinctions Pastoral wisdom is also provided when the time for placement in ministry arrives. The student may serve in the same local church as a more effective leader or be sent out to plant other churches, take a ministry assignment or serve as a missionary to the uttermost parts of the earth. This is the New Testament pattern: a) Future leaders remain in the church and their places of ministry while they are being equipped for ministry. They are not up-rooted and transplanted, but grow and learn where they are planted. b) The local pastor(s) and leaders continue to have vital contact and input in the areas of philosophy and practice of ministry while the student ministers are being trained. c) The equipping is taking place in real-life ministry situations that are a part of the context of the local church. d) Pastors and other leaders from around the world bring their gift of teaching and practitioners of ministry are your guest instructors and teachers. e) The ministry abilities and spiritual gifts are recognised and confirmed by a loving, caring leadership and body of believers. f) The costs of training for Christian service and ministry are within range of all who desire to move into greater dimensions of ministry. LSM allows the pastor(s), leaders, teachers and the student to partner together so the expenses of continuing ministry preparation are met. Prev Next

Home LSM Distinctions At LSM, it s our desire to equip leaders who are: Ready to serve in the local church or wherever God calls them. Committed to a biblical worldview so that everything in life is seen as a trust and stewardship. Grounded in the foundational Biblical truths from a Pentecostal, holiness and Spirit anointed perspective. In love with the Church as God s instrument of the Kingdom and ready to give their life for it in following the call of God. Discovering their giftedness, developing these gifts and are ready to deploy them as good stewards of God s grace in His Kingdom work. Radically committed to serve the local church, plant new churches, evangelise, start new ministries, become market-place leaders and fulfil their destinies as agents of the Kingdom. Good ministers of Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 4:6) and are ready to do the work of the ministry (2 Timothy 4:1-5). Prev Next

Home LSM Distinctions London School of Ministry is designed for: People who are actively involved in the life and ministry of a local church but desire to better equip themselves for ministry. Local church leaders and others who need further training or want to sharpen their skills so that they can become more effective as ministers of the local church. Young men and women who for various reasons (e.g. finances, the time involved, family or work situations, or personal preferences) do not desire to be up-rooted to attend a Bible College and pursue a four-year program of studies elsewhere. Mature, well-informed followers of Christ who are ready to train for ministry. Prev

Home Philosophy of LSM The LSM equipping process is like a triple braided cord (Ecclesiastes 4:12) comprising of: Training the head (mind), training the heart (spirit) and training the hand (ministry skill); all are needed to maximize ministry effectiveness. This equipping process may be explained and diagrammed as follows: Next

Home Philosophy of LSM 1) Training the Mind. The mind is to be disciplined in the things of God until the Mind of Christ is ours. Sound biblical study is important so we gain understanding. That is INFORMATION!! 2) Training the Spirit. Spiritual formation is essential. This is the key to ministry as the Holy Spirit is the source of this life. Impartation of Spirit-life must transpire from the teacher to the student as both need to be ministers; a flame of fire (Hebrews 1:7). That is IMPARTATION!! 3) Training in Ministry. Jesus and Paul both gave on-the-job training so the disciples could learn by doing - both learned, and received and heard, and seen in me, do... (Philippians 4:9). That is DEMONSTRATION!! This 3-fold dimension of equipping is the emphasis of this School. Bible colleges, for the most part, emphasise the acquiring of knowledge and the understanding of facts. LSM emphasises the practical training, spiritual formation and the training of the mind, a complete training and equipping ministry in the context of the local church. Prev
