Superintendent Dengate spoke about signage in place on the beach as well as increased police patrols/presence of beaches. Police operations targeting specific beach offences have also been conducted. Injury and Fatal Crashes Down compared to last year. Well below Business Plan Target. Speeding Offences Almost doubled from same time last year, most likely due to increased Highway Patrol presence. DUI/PCA Offences Fewer incidents from last year, but an increase in police presence and RBT s has most likely had an effect on the number. Licence Offences - Tracking below business plan. Increase in stealing incidents from the women s change room at La Perouse Proposed traffic lights at intersection of Bunnerong Road and Botany Road, Matraville. Traffic issues at roundabout at the intersection of Bunnerong Road and Little Bay Road, Little Bay. Oversize vehicles parking at Carr Street and Neptune Street, Coogee. Increased police patrols and public awareness. Sergeant Withers (Traffic Supervisor) to make enquires with the relevant agencies.
