The Massachusetts Loan Repayment Program for Health Professionals Loan repayment of up to $50,000 in addition to a regular salary from the facility A unique and rewarding experience that offers an opportunity to advance careers, while providing a service to our most vulnerable residents Extend your contract and award to continue service

Who is eligible? Primary Care Physicians (MD or DO) Family Medicine Osteopathic General Practice Internal Medicine Geriatrics Pediatrics Obstetrics/Gynecology Psychiatry Dentist General Dentist Pediatric Dentist Dental Hygienist Nurse Practitioner Advanced Practice Nurse Psychiatric Nurse Specialist Certified Nurse-Midwife Physician Assistant Health Service Psychologist (Ph.D. or equivalent) Clinical Social Worker * Mental Health Counselor Licensed Professional Counselor * Marriage and Family Therapist * * master s or doctoral degree with a major study in the specific field

Component A (full-time employment) Physicians, psychologists, dentists, and nurse practitioners $25,000/yr Certified nurse-midwives, physician assistants, dental hygienists, social workers, psychiatric nurse specialists, mental health counselors, licensed professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists $20,000/yr Sites - Public or non-profit, located in a HPSA, including licensed mental health clinics, other eligible community based providers, federally qualified community health centers (FQHC), FQHC Look-alikes, and certified rural health clinics. ** Awards will not equal more than loan indebtedness

Component C (full-time or part-time employment) $25,000/yr to: Primary care physician specialties (family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry and obstetrics/gynecology) Advanced practice nursing specialties (family, adult, geriatric, women s health and pediatric nurse practitioners; certified nurse-midwives; and adult or child focused psychiatric nurse specialists) ** Awards will not equal more than loan indebtedness

NHSC Scholarship Covers payment of tuition and required fees (tax-free), Some other tax-free educational costs (books, etc.), A monthly living stipend (taxable) After graduation, recipients are required to work one year for each year of received support as primary care providers in an approved practice site located in a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) Minimum service requirement of two years

NHSC Pilot Students to Service Loan Repayment Program A loan repayment assistance program for medical students (MD, DO) in their last year of school, in return for serving in eligible HPSAs of greatest need Seeking 4 th Year Medical Students Committed to Primary Care Benefit of $120,000 tax-free loan repayments now, for 3yrs FT / 6yrs HT service after residency Funding preference given to applicants who: Come from a disadvantaged background Display characteristics that indicate a higher likelihood of continuing to serve in an underserved area once their service commitment is complete NHSC.hrsa.gov/loanrepayment/studentstoservice.htm

NHSC SEARCH Program Student/Resident Experiences and Rotations in Community Health Opportunities for students and residents to experience clinical rotations on multidisciplinary health care teams Students apply to complete a SEARCH rotation HRSA funded program; one of 28 across the US Administered by the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers
