Statement of Confidentiality: As a leader of the Grove Community Church I commit to keeping what is discussed at Small Group confidential, unless otherwise notified by the Small Groups Pastor of a need for sharing information that can prevent the spiritual, physical, and emotional harm of a Small Group participant. WHAT WE BELIEVE A shared belief is one of the main things that binds together the Body of Christ at The Grove. Our belief centers on the Scriptures as God s Word to humanity. Since sincere Christians differ in their interpretation of secondary matters, there is room at The Grove for us to lovingly and respectfully disagree on certain matters. We have, however, defined those major issues on which the Bible is very clear and on which all Christians have agreed from the beginning: We believe in the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, as verbally and completely inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and the supreme and final authority in faith and life. We believe in one God who has revealed to us His nature as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man. We believe that all people are alienated from God through sin. We believe that God s work, through Jesus Christ in dying for all people on the cross, makes it possible for all to be forgiven and enter into a personal relationship with God, through faith in Him. Christians are people who now enjoy this personal relationship, who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit so they might grow in holiness. The Church is made up of believers who join together into a community in which Christ s love is present. Statement of Belief: The Grove Community Church has a strong evangelical commitment and requires each small group leader be an evangelical believer who understands and agrees to its mission and doctrine. By signing below you are stating that you have read and agree to the doctrinal statements and the statement of faith. By signing this document you agree to the statements of belief and the statement of confidentiality as well as the doctrinal position of the Grove Community Church. I will honor the convictions of the church on these matters and represent them as a small group leader, co-leader, or host. 4
