Preventa ve maintenance services provided by our cer fied factory-trained technicians will help to op mize system performance and minimize facility down me. The technicians will protect and extend the life cycle of our hardware by iden fying component or environmental problems early that may affect future system opera ons. They will also iden fy system performance problems that may affect the ongoing accuracy of the systems volume and water cut readings. By receiving priority privileges to so ware hot fixes, service technicians, and our hot spare inventory you will be minimizing poten al down me periods. The addi onal repor ng tools provided under our maintenance program will assist in providing you with the required documenta on during ERCB direc ve 17 audits. In addi on to a significant discount on our TruckVue hourly rates; under the maintenance program you will be en tled to free emergency support services that may help in determining a resolu on to the problem and in turn help to avoid unnecessary chargeable field service visits. Planned PrevenƟve Maintenance Service DescripƟon This service provides a Spartan Measurement Instrumenta on technician to carry out preventa ve maintenance, calibra ons and health check-ups on the customer s TruckVue system. Cost Under a planned maintenance agreement, the customer will receive a preferred rate of 25% off our standard TruckVue demand hourly rates (standard demand rates are presently $165/hr). M A S Value Planned preventa ve maintenance provides value by minimizing system down me with periodic health checkups. The technicians will protect and extend equipment life by iden fying problems early that may affect future system opera on. They also iden fy system performance problems that may affect the ongoing measurement accuracy. Small inaccuracies or performance problems may result in significant costs. A properly maintained TruckVue system will help to prevent system down me, well operator dissa sfac on due to inaccurate cuts and poten al accoun ng or ba ery prora on problems. Service Details This service includes inspec on, adjustment, calibra on, cleaning, tes ng and repair or replacement of the TruckVue systems equipment supplied by Spartan Controls. Spartan will endeavour to schedule and perform quarterly or semi-annual site visit maintenance, which includes travel me to site and vehicle mileage charges. The ac vi es that will be performed include the following: Quarterly or Semi-Annual Maintenance Calibra on of all water cut equipment; i.e. Drexelbrook and Phase Dynamics Run a meter verifica on on all applicable Micro Mo on meters Review of TruckVue log files Inspect file management, free disc space, driver and bios revisions etc. Review of Microso Windows event logs Inspec on of 10 random scan data cket files for each riser to ensure the health of riser-specific Instrumenta on and so ware performance Check the health of the Opera ng System and computer memory Backup of the customer configura on and database to the Spartan Customer Profile Database Record any hardware or so ware changes to the Spartan Customer Profile Database Inspec on of the TruckVue log files to determine device and so ware health Installa on of TruckVue so ware updates Installa on Windows 7 opera ng system patches, as necessary Check and clean the computer and panel of dust and debris as necessary Ensure that a complete backup of the TMS directory resides on the redundant IPC or on the remote hard drive Verify opera on of the backup remote hard drive Check operator I/O devices including keyboard, mouse and touch screen monitor Run TruckVue computer diagnos cs Check TCP/IP network communica on health status Address any ongoing operator concerns PC hardware upgrade planning Provide a maintenance document that includes calibra on reports and configura on adjustments to meet Direc ve 17 requirements
T U S Customer Responsibili es The Customer shall be responsible for making the system available for the Spartan technician at the scheduled me for the Planned Maintenance visits. On scheduled site visits a truck must be available to unload sales spec oil through each emulsion riser and water through each water riser. The Customer will provide spares or consumable materials necessary to replace worn, faulty, or unserviceable items. Alterna vely, Spartan Controls can provide them at addi onal cost. Service Scheduling Spartan Controls will endeavour to schedule quarterly remote access maintenance and semi annual planned preven ve maintenance visits, at the mutual convenience of both the Customer and Spartan. If requested, the semi-annual visits may be undertaken a er regular work hours so as to cause minimal interference with plant opera ons. Required excep ons will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Addi onal Costs Travel and onsite me is charged at applicable preferred customer hourly rates, and is subject to over me charges when incurred. Mileage is charged: - at $1.15/kilometre for a company service truck in Alberta, Bri sh Columbia or Saskatchewan - at $0.70/kilometre for a personal vehicle in Alberta, Bri sh Columbia or Saskatchewan - at cost for a rental vehicle, or airfare plus 10% - Service trucks are typically ou i ed with addi onal equipment and tools required for certain jobs. Our Service Advisors will recommend the best op on for service requested. Lodging in Alberta/Bri sh Columbia/Saskatchewan will be charged at $200/day, except for Fort McMurray which will be charged at cost +10%. Meals will be charged as follows: - On day trips, where the customer has requested a site arrive me that requires a departure me earlier than 6 a.m., breakfast will be charged. - On day trips, where 24 hours or be er no ce has been given, lunch will not be charged. With less that 24- hours no ce, lunch charges will apply. - On day trips, where the home arrival me from site is 5:30 p.m. or later, supper will be charged. - On mul -day trips, where the technician has checked out of the hotel but is s ll required on site for the day, meals will be charged. Breakfast charged at $15 / Lunch charged at $15 / Supper charged at $30 Customer Responsibili es If assistance is required within the framework of this service, the Customer should contact Spartan Controls at 780-468-5463 to arrange the required assistance, men oning that the costs need to be charged under the preferred rates contained within the Agreement.
M A S So ware Maintenance and Emergency Services Service Descrip on This so ware service provides the customer access to repor ng and verifica on tools that are otherwise inaccessible. It will ensure that the customer has the latest so ware upgrades and allows for customized configura on changes on an annual basis. The emergency services provide the customer with priority privileges to phone support, 7/24 demand services and our customer hot spare inventory. Cost The cost for this service will be determined by base system cost plus addi onal costs per the number of emulsion and water risers exis ng at the facility. Base System = $2250 Per Emulsion or Scale Riser = $750 Per Water Riser = $375 When a maintenance agreement has been purchased, in addi on to the services outlined in this document, the customer receives significant discounts on the TruckVue transac on editor tool. Value By obtaining the latest so ware fixes and upgrades, the TruckVue system performance and reliability will be improved. The repor ng tools provided can assist during ERCB audi ng or meter proving processes. These tools may also be used to maximize profitability when buying or selling oil based upon product density, or to minimize well density sampling costs. Priority privileges to service technician scheduling and our TruckVue hot spare inventory will minimize system down me in cri cal circumstances. So ware Maintenance Details This service includes TruckVue Server/Client so ware upgrades, priority so ware defect updates, TruckVue so ware recovery/reload support, annual configura on changes, hardware migra on support and addi onal verifica on/repor ng tools. The so ware hot fixes, updates and configura on changes will be implemented during the scheduled or demand maintenance provided by a cer fied Spartan Controls technician and charged at the preferred hourly rate. TruckVue Server/Client So ware Upgrades This provides the latest so ware releases of TruckVue so ware to be implemented during semi-annual service trips. It ensures the customer will receive priority support as necessary during new so ware updates or configura on implementa on. Examples of such updates may include the latest API calcula ons, AutoComp algorithms and measurement processing structures. Priority So ware Defect Updates Requests for a customized so ware change and known so ware defects will be priority. TruckVue So ware Recovery Spartan Controls will support the customer in the recovery of a failed TruckVue system Provides embedded recovery so ware for the recovery of systems from USB, network drive or distributed client computers Provides the latest so ware installa on image to upgrade hard drive so ware images as required

Expert answers and advice are provided by telephone and, in some situa ons, may eliminate the need for on-site service. Calls are usually answered by a support tech immediately, but in some instances, the caller is asked to leave a message that will be returned within an hour. Phone Support 7/24 technical telephone support service provides mely access to a Spartan TruckVue technician s expert advice to help keep the system running and to poten ally avoid the need for a site visit. Spartan Controls TruckVue technicians can answer technical ques ons, diagnose system problems, and provide skilled advice when needed over the phone. Remote Desktop In certain situa ons a Spartan technician may be able to remotely connect to the TruckVue system. This would enable the tech to perform cket analysis and system health checks without going to the facility. Customer Requirements If assistance is required, the Customer should contact Spartan Controls at (780) 468-5463 for this service. Spartan requests that the Customer be prepared to provide the best possible explana on and details of the system problem. Contract Terms The term of this contract shall be for one year of the date of purchase. Support service will be provided based on a request of an authorized customer employee or a representa ve of the customer only. The term of this contract will be renego ated at the start of every new service year.
