DAIDS Learning Portal: Getting Started Guide Welcome to the DAIDS Learning Portal! We offer easy access to a wide variety of DAIDS training courses, resources, and support all in one place. Use this Getting Started Guide to learn more about each section of the website, find the resources you need, and make the most of your experience. Recent Changes In March 2015, we made some changes to the DAIDS Learning Portal to make the site even easier to use than before. We made two key types of changes. 1. We reorganized key sections of the site. You can get to these sections from the new site menu. Here s what you ll find in each section: Home takes you to the DAIDS Learning Portal home page. Courses gives you one-click access to DAIDS-required courses and other highlighted courses in the Learning Management System (LMS). You can get to the full course catalog materials by clicking the blue button at the bottom of the screen. Resources (formerly the Learning Center) provides information about DAIDS policies, course requirements, helpful links, and more. It also includes a link to the ClinRegs website and easy access to the list of Other Helpful Contacts and Websites. Discussion Forum (formerly the Social Learning Community) lets you connect with other DAIDS Learning Portal members. Help (formerly the Training Navigator) provides support for the website. Now you can get to the Help options even when you re not signed in. You can submit an Email Us form, chat with us live, or make an appointment to talk with us in the future. You might want to check the Frequently Asked Questions page first to see if there s already an answer to your question. 2. We improved your security. The DAIDS Learning Portal will automatically log you out after 20 minutes of inactivity. A warning message will appear after 19 minutes so you can indicate that you are still using the site. Note: This time out feature does not apply to the LMS section of the website. If you re in the middle of a course, you won t be automatically logged out. Take a look at the rest of this document for a screen-by-screen tour of the DAIDS Learning Portal. Page 1 of 9
