This is a summary of the standard cover available under the UK General Office Policy. The summary does not include all the policy benefits, limits and exclusions; full terms and conditions can be found in the policy wording, a copy of which is available to download from our website www.ukgeneral.com or by contacting your insurance agent. The policy, and not this summary, is the basis of the contract of insurance The policy is an annual insurance contract that provides a wide range of covers for businesses as detailed below. It is underwritten by UK General Insurance Ltd on behalf of Catlin Insurance Company (UK) Ltd, with the exception of the Commercial Legal Protection Section which is underwritten by Ageas Insurance Limited, the Key Person Section which is underwritten by UK General Insurance (Ireland) Ltd and the Equipment Breakdown Section which is underwritten by HSB Engineering Insurance Limited. The cover under the Property Damage and Business Interruption sections includes fire and specified insured events with accidental damage, subsidence, ground heave and landslip available on request. The sums insured you choose must represent the full values at risk; if they do not, payments may be reduced in the event of a claim. The standard cover may be varied to meet your individual needs and any variations from standard will be detailed in any quotation given and thereafter in the policy schedule. 1

costs incurred by anyone in recalling or replacing such products or costs incurred by anyone in recalling, removing, repairing, rectifying, replacing, reapplying or guaranteeing any product supplied. 4
Cancellation Procedure There is an option to cancel this policy within 14 days of receipt of the policy schedule and wording. A refund of premium will be allowed for the time that was left on the policy. Claim Notification For claims under o Section I - Commercial Legal Protection, contact Legal Insurance Management Ltd. o Section K Equipment Breakdown, contact HSB Engineering Ltd. o all other sections of the policy, contact UK General Insurance Ltd using claims details set out in the policy. Complaints Procedure We make every effort to ensure that the cover and service provided to you is clear, fair and not misleading, however should you ever wish to make a complaint about any part of your policy or our service please contact us. Please refer to the table on Page 51 of your policy document, which is designed to help you reach the correct area quickly and easily should you wish to make a complaint. If it is not possible to reach an agreement, you may have the right to make an appeal to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). The FOS is an independent organisation that decides on complaints about general insurance products. They will only consider complaints after we have given you written confirmation that you have been through the Complaints Procedure, and that your business has a turnover of less than EUR 2 million and fewer than 10 employees. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if any of these companies cannot meet their insurance obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. For compulsory insurance you may be entitled to compensation up to 100% of the claim. For all other types of insurance you may be entitled to compensation up to 90% of the claim.
