CATS 2012 Microsoft Windows.Net based family of database applications provides maximum flexibility in designing, administering, modifying, modeling, analyzing, and reporting on all aspects of an organization s enterprise-wide incentive compensation managment (EIM). CATS has represented the leading edge of incentive compensation software design and administration since 1994. Enterprise Incentive Compensation Administration for an entire organization is easily controlled from a single user-friendly screen. Or the application can be shared by any number of Administrators working independently of each other. A powerful Roles table permits a highly definable set of user entitlements to insure that decentralized, yet empowered Administrators, can only see and work within the data and rules established specifically for them and their organization. It provides a browser-like interface for quick access to wizards, forms and data tables used in the system and a CATS is the only comprehensive EIM software solution that guarantees to administer any incentive compensation type or plan design without the need for off-line data pre-processing via a separate data mart or data warehouse, stored procedures in external data tables invisible to the Administrator and/or customized programming source coding. This intentionally makes CATS the least dependent IT solution in the EIM space today. CATS comes in three Editions (Workstation, Server and Enterprise) and can be licensed in either an administrative or full design version. This permits the most accurate match of application capabilities with user needs without over investing in the solution while preserving a seamless upgrade migration path. CATS licenses are perpetual with unlimited users, administrators, plan designs and plan participants. There are no hard to PAGE01

split-screen grid that is as easy to use as a desktop spreadsheet. With this simple data presentation format users can view data, make editing changes to underlying data values and/or calculated values, attach notes to any record, and add and delete information items. The system automatically logs all manual changes to compensation data. The Audit functionality meets all Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements. CATS is delivered on a guaranteed and turnkey basis. This means that all incentive compensation plans and data links required to perform their calculations are fully implemented upon installation. The CATS userinterface can be optionally hosted inside a web browser. Incentive Compensation Administrators may then simply click through the Plan Administrator illustrated to the right. The majority of incentive compensation administration is conducted from this one screen. IMPORT means just that. A single command that retrieves data as either an imported file, SQL call on an external data table or combination of both from any data source with a commercially available ODBC driver. CATS interrogates every data file for accuracy and completeness. Errors are immediately called to the Administrator s attention for repair before their use in calculating compensation. A continuous Audit Log tracks all interactions with any data repaired, modified or overwritten by the Administrator. MEASURES are calculated separately. They can be processed individually and filtered down to individual organization units and even specific plan participants. COMPENSATION is an aggregation of all formulas. Similar to all CATS functionality, the Administrator can select which organizational unit to process whenever all data for the period in question is available and fully repaired. Multiple Administrators may work simultaneously all while working with a centrally hosted CATS via LAN, WAN or Web. PAGE02

ANALYTICS is driven by 36 pre-loaded metrics representing best practices among the leading incentive compensation-consulting firms. Metrics can be modified and/or new ones easily added with just a few mouse clicks. Up to twelve side-by-side views can be maintained at any given time in modeling plan outcomes based on different data and/or plan design assumptions. REPORTS are driven by a pre-loaded reporting module within the CATS Portal Crystal reporting solution. Reports can be easily modified, scheduled and e-mailed to plan participants or published to a secure Intranet site for self service viewing and downloading based on hierarchical entitlements. PLAN permits multiple programs to be implemented from a single CATS design platform. Separate operating units, lines of business, product groups, vendor groups, subsidiaries and affiliates can all be maintained under a single, perpetual and unlimited license. POSITION permits an unlimited number of positions to be created within any given plan. Participants are maintained in a separate table. They are arrayed by their organizational hierarchy. Participants may be moved within positions and organizational units with an easy-to-use drag and drop interface. Each participant s relevant incentive compensation information is displayed. Administrators may tailor targets for each participant individually. All participant information can be synchronized and updated automatically with HR applications via the Data Import functionally of CATS. CREATE A POSITION wizard driven screen that lets the design enabled Administrator click through the incentive objects required to create the appropriate set of incentive rules for a particular position. CATS then populates the underlying design tables automatically. For Administrators using a designed enabled version of CATS the flexibility in terms of creating incentive compensation plan types, data sources, and expressing any rule is unlimited. IT pre-processing of data, creation of a separate data mart or data ware house, customization of the application itself or manual off-line calculations. The majority of any plan design is facilitated by using the Create New Position wizard that permits the Designer to start with an existing position as a template making whatever modifications that are necessary. CATS does the rest in terms of populating all required design forms and tables. MODEL A POSITION WIZARD is a second path to modeling within CATS.
