7 of 8 4 Consents and Acknowledgements There are significant risks involved with shorting, leverage and derivatives. The following section requires that you acknowledge these risks explicitly. The Macquarie Prime Facility involves geared investments for experienced investors I/We acknowledge that I/We should not enter into CFD, Loan Facility or Short Selling positions using a Macquarie Prime Facility, unless I am/we are experienced with equity derivatives, geared investing and can tolerate a reasonable level of risk. If trading CFDs or Short Selling you will be entering a contact directly with Macquarie and not a securities exchange, which carries Macquarie credit, procedures and systems risks that are higher degree than when trading shares on an exchange. Investment losses can be significant and more than the money in your Macquarie Prime Bank Account I/We understand that a Macquarie Prime Facility can allow me/us to open a position with a high degree of gearing. These positions may be speculative. This gearing can have the effect of significantly magnifying losses as well as profits. These losses may exceed the amount of any funds in my/our Macquarie Prime Bank Account. My Margin Obligations and my Positions may be closed out I/We understand that if I/we enter into a CFD, Loan Facility or Short Selling position, if there is an adverse market movement I/we may need to pay money to Macquarie under a Margin Obligation on very short notice.
