Student Life & Housing Student Life Our Colleges are dedicated to making sure your time here is enjoyable, memorable, and safe. There are over 75 clubs, yearround events, athletic teams, and study groups that will help the transition process of studying in the United States easier. The international student offices at each of the campuses are there to support students through immigration, academic, or any other issues during your time at San Mateo Colleges of Silicon Valley. Housing San Mateo Colleges of Silicon Valley offer the widest variety of different housing options. International Student Placement (ISP) places each student in homes with local families that come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and that matches the interest and needs of international students. There are several resources to obtain housing. It is recommended that you contact the international student office for a list of housing options. New students should plan to arrive at least two weeks before registration. The three Colleges have the largest number of universities providing guaranteed transfer and conditional admission arrangements. We offer Conditional Letters of Admission for guaranteed transfer to some of the most prestigious schools in the United States. Please choose a University from which you would like to receive a letter on your application form for. This letter guarantees that upon meeting admission requirements you will be guaranteed a transfer to that University.
