Following these simple instructions will ensure operator safety and prolong the life of the power washer. Our policy is to improve our products continuously and we therefore reserve the right to discontinue or change specifications, models or designs without notice or obligation. This equipment has been designed and manufactured for the high pressure washing of machinery, buildings etc, using water and recommended detergent. It should not be used for washing electrical equipment, people, animals and surfaces that are easily damaged. SAFETY DENVER Pressure Washer Bowsers should only be used by fully trained, competent persons. Care should be taken when lifting and handling the pressure washers as they have uneven centres of gravity and may topple over when lifted. Operators should wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment: Waterproof boots, overalls and gloves Goggles or face protection to at least BS EN166 Ear Muffs or Ear Plugs to give protection to at least EN352-1. EN352-2 Petrol engines product fumes and toxic gasses, use only in well ventilated spaces. Refueling the fuel tank should not be done in confined spaces. Check all hoses and couplings for tightness and damage, loose connections should be tightened and damaged hoses replaced. High pressure lances kick back when the operating trigger is pulled. Ensure you have good firm footing and anticipate this reaction. Extra care should be taken when working at height, working from ladders is not recommended. Use appropriate high reach poles. The high-pressure lance can be dangerous, do not point the lance directly at other persons.

INSTALLATION 1. Check all oil levels, top up if necessary. 2. Fill the engine oil sump with 10W 30 multigrade oil and the fuel tank with unleaded petrol. 3. Fill tank with tap water. 4. Ensure that the trigger safety catch is in the on position whilst making these connections. OPERATION 1. Turn the red on/off switch to On. 2. Turn the fuel tap to the On position. 3. If the engine is cold, turn the choke lever On and advance the throttle lever to half speed. 4. Depress the lance trigger to release water pressure before starting the engine. 5. Start engine by pulling the starter rope. 6. Once the engine is running, ease the choke to the Off position and advance the throttle lever to Max. The pressure washer should always be operated with the choke off and the throttle on Max. USING THE HIGH PRESSURE LANCE 1. Release the lance safety catch, which is located behind the trigger. 2. Point the lance downwards and towards the object being cleaned. 3. Squeeze the trigger to start the high pressure jet, proceed to wash the object. Adjust the working pressure by turning the pressure regulator know + or to suit the application (fig 1, item 4). Never direct the high pressure stream at the engine or pump as this could cause irreparable damage. 4. WARNING high pressure lances kick back when the operating trigger is pulled. Ensure that you have a good firm footing and anticipate this reaction. Release the trigger to stop the high pressure jet. WASHING USING DETERGENT 1. Attach the detergent induction pipe to the pressure washer, (fig. 1, item 2) placing the opposite filter end into the detergent container. 2. Fit the low pressure nozzle on the lance and spray the water/detergent mixture onto the object being cleaned. Leave the detergent for the period recommended by the chemical manufacturer allowing it time to work, washing off with clean water. 3. The volume of detergent used can be controlled by means of the regulator on the suction valve (see fig 2, item 3).
SWITCHING OFF 1. 2. 3. 4. Release trigger. Reduce the engine speed by retarding the throttle lever. Turn the red On/Off switch to Off position. Depress the high-pressure lance s trigger to release the pressure in the high pressure hose. WARNING Do not let the pump idle in by-pass for lengthy periods. If you intend to break from work for more than 5 minutes, switch the machine off. Should the machine run for longer period, the temperature of the recirculating water will increase rapidly and could risk damaging the pump seals (models with internal by-pass only). STORAGE 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Roll the pressure hose back onto the reel, draining water from the hose. Disconnect water feed hose, draining water from the hose. Wash out detergent hose with clean water, draining water from hose. Turn over the engine by hand to expel water from the pump. Ensure the equipment is clean and dry before storage. The equipment should be stored in a dry and frost-proof place. Ensure that the fuel tap is in the Off position. Remember - Petrol gets stale by remaining in the fuel tank for long periods. Replace the fuel after two months.
