Until Managed now, Security Inhouse reliable network connections were the key focus. But now, businesses increasingly also require access to cloud services. In addition to managed VPN services, which include a range of access technologies, T-Systems delivers Direct Links to Internet Standard meet these challenges. This portfolio includes synchronous digital Access & Voice Bundles hierarchy (SDH)- and Ethernet-based leased lines for customer networks in Germany and beyond. We offer a host of possibilities to address your needs including fixed-link point-to-point and pointto-multipoint connections ranging from 2 Mbits / s to several ICT Security giga-bytes. What s more, we can support customer-specific requirements, from data-center connections to connectivity based on microwave radio technology. = Cloud-Based Service

Direct Links Elements of the offering. Our direct data connections are based on the Ethernet standard or SDH protocol. We deploy both copper and fiber optic infrastructures, delivering continuous and reliable bandwidths between 2 Mbit / s and 10 Gbit / s. In both cases, the network topology can comprise point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connections. Microwave radio solutions round out the offering. 1. Standard dedicated digital line. A standard dedicated digital line gives you permanent, full-duplex connectivity with digital interfaces between two defined end points. These are terminated with an internationally standardized interface which complies with ITU-T recommendations. 2 Mbit / s, 34 Mbit / s and 155 Mbit / s Rapid data transfer for delay-critical applications Choice of comprehensive SLAs for all purposes including very high availability Reliable solution that complies with international standards Service models. 24 / 7 service hotline. Time to resolution: 8 or 24 hours Availability. Germany 2. Direct data lines. Managed direct data lines are available around the clock and always on. T-Systems manages the existing network termination devices at both ends. This enables proactive monitoring of the entire transmission path (fault management). (Access 2Mbit / s): 512 Kbit / s, 1024 Kbit / s, 1920 Kbit / s and 1984 Kbit / s Scalable solution Highest level of security and availability for reliable transfer of large volumes of data (managed service) No dial-up time required Service models. 24 / 7 service hotline. MEF Metro Ethernet Forum. Expert monitoring and troubleshooting by multiple international network management centers Professional, expert approach to design and operations Extensive experience as a network operator and integrator Technology skills and strong partnerships with manufacturers of network infrastructures International availability combined with excellent Germany-wide coverage Reliable service an extensive service network guarantees high availability Site-to-site connections possible outside the existing telecommunications infrastructure Deployment of proven processes and methodologies to support the plan, build, run approach Best possible value for money Founded in 2001, the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) aims to accelerate the worldwide implementation of carrier-class Ethernet networks and services. MEF defines specifications for WAN services that already exist in the LAN space. These Ethernet services include point-to-point and multipoint-tomultipoint configurations, LAN services over VLANs, local networks over MPLS and LAN over IP. MEF has defined Layer 2 services for VPNs: E-Line to support point-to-point VPNs, E-Tree for point-to-multipoint connections and E-LAN for multipoint-to-multipoint VPNs. T-Systems Ethernet VPN solution portfolio complies with MEF standards.

Alternatives to Direct Links. IP VPN. The IP VPN solution IntraSelect is based on a T-Systems IP network for voice, data, multimedia and business applications. This Layer-3 platform delivers a host of additional functionality out-of-the-box, such as extranet, dial-in / RAS dial-in and security solutions. IntraSelect is the ideal solution for companies looking to source frequently used services from a shared platform in a straightforward way. Ethernet VPN. Ethernet VPN provides high-performance, secure connections for LAN-to- LAN links, for example between company divisions, data centers or telecommunications systems and of IT systems to SANs (storage area networks). This technology can also be used for international site-to-site connections. Companies can operate their Ethernet VPNs themselves and keep control over IP routers and IP addresses. Ethernet VPN offers the flexibility of high bandwidths up to several gigabytes per second, supports the prioritization of data traffic and can be implemented for diverse network topologies.
