Snohomish County Department Of Emergency Management Training and Exercise Schedule January Welcome to the first edition of the Snohomish County DEM Training and Exercise Schedule! This monthly T & E schedule will keep Snohomish County, city, and Tribal Nation partners informed of upcoming training and exercise opportunities offered by DEM and regional emergency management jurisdictions, Washington State Emergency Management Division, FEMA, Department of Homeland Security and various academic institutions. There s a new Training Sheriff in town: Daniel Good, formerly of the Emergency Services Coordinating Agency (ESCA), became DEM s Training Program Manager as of last June. Dan is a certified FEMA Master Trainer, Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), and holds a Master s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management. He arrived with a full suitcase of knowledge and skills well suited to launch a robust training program for our city and tribal emergency management staffs. Mark Murphy is now the Exercise Program Manager. Mark also holds a Master s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management and is DEM s lead Program Manager with overall responsibility for EOC Operations. Together, Mark and Dan are dedicated to the delivery of quality training and exercise programs in Snohomish County. Page - 1 - of 21
