Voluntary Separation Program (VSP) Benefits Questions and Answers GROUP HEALTH COVERAGE COBRA, CMC, and Post-Retirement Health Q1. If I take this package, can I change my medical or dental coverage? A1. You must keep the same coverage you are currently enrolled in, but you may make changes at the annual open enrollment for COBRA participants, which will be effective in January. When you enroll for COBRA, you do not have to keep all coverage, for example you can drop dental coverage. Q2. If I accept the VSP package, do I have to sign up for the extended health coverage? A2. No, COBRA coverage is optional. Q3. How is COBRA coverage different from regular group insurance coverage? A3. COBRA benefits are the same as your regular benefits except that you must pay the full cost of the coverage plus an administrative fee. You can choose which benefits to keep (medical, dental, and/or vision) and which of your current dependents will be covered under each plan. If you want to change plans, you can only do that at open enrollment. Life Insurance, AD&D, dependent life, or disability coverage are not covered by COBRA. You also cannot participate in the Dependent Day Care Reimbursement Account, but you may elect to make after-tax contributions to the Health Care Reimbursement Account. Q4. Will I be able to add or drop dependents during the COBRA period, or must I cover everyone I ve covered while an active employee? Can I elect COBRA for my dependents only and not myself? A4. You may not add dependents at your initial COBRA enrollment, although you can drop coverage for anyone you have covered while an active employee. You do not have to be covered in order to cover your dependents. You will be able to add or drop dependents at open enrollment. However, you can only add or drop dependents during the year if you have a qualified family status change, such as gaining health insurance through another employer.

Q5. How will I be charged for the COBRA coverage? A5. COBRA payments are due on a monthly basis. You will pay the full cost of coverage plus a two-percent administrative fee. You will be given payment instructions in your COBRA enrollment packet. Q6. How do I sign up for the COBRA coverage if I am selected for and resign or retire under the VSP? A6. After you are separated, you will receive a letter with enrollment instructions. You will have 60 days from the date you receive the COBRA letter to enroll. You will then have 45 days to make your initial payment. Once your payment is posted, your coverage will be updated retroactively to the day following your separation. NOTE: Coverage will not be effective until your payment is received by the Disney Benefits Center and posted to your account. Q7. Can the Company change the benefit plans? A7. The Company has always reserved the right to amend, modify or terminate the plans. You are offered the same coverage available to active employees at COBRA rates. Q8. My spouse works for the Company and has his/her own coverage. Can I switch to his/her plan? A8. You can elect coverage under your spouse s plan any time after your separation date or whenever your COBRA coverage under your own plan ends. Q9. I have a scheduled surgery coming up in a month/am in late stages of pregnancy. If I accept this VSP offer, how will it affect me? A9. If you elect COBRA coverage, your regular medical coverage will continue for up to 18 months. Q10. If I separate from employment after the closing date for this VSP offer, can I continue my health care coverage? A10. Under COBRA, if your health care coverage stops because you separate from employment even voluntarily, you will have the opportunity to purchase continued coverage for you and your eligible dependents.

Q11. If I move out of the area after being selected for and accepting this offer, can I change medical plans under COBRA? A11. Only if the option you have chosen is not available in the area you move to (for example a local area HMO). Otherwise, you will only be able to change plans at open enrollment. Q12. If I am selected for and accept this VSP package, will it affect my eligibility for Continued Medical Coverage as a retiree? A12. It depends on your individual situation and your length of service. Please refer to the Medical section of your Employee Benefits Handbook for the eligibility rules for the CMC program. You can also call the Disney Benefits Center 1-877-702-3501. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am ET to 8:00pm ET. Q13. If I am selected for and accept this VSP package, will I still be eligible for post-retirement medical benefits? A13. That depends on whether you meet specific criteria set forth in the ABC- NABET Master Agreement. You can call the Disney Benefits Center 1-877- 702-3501 to determine whether you are eligible for ABC Retiree Medical benefits. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am ET to 8:00pm ET. Q14: I have begun adoption proceedings. Will I still be eligible for reimbursement of adoption costs under the Adoption Assistance Program, even if I don't take custody of the child until after my termination date? A14: Yes, as long as you meet all the requirements of the program and provide the necessary documentation establishing that the process began before your separation date. LIFE INSURANCE AND DISABILITY Q15. What happens to my coverage under the SIGNATURE Life Insurance and Business Travel Accident Insurance Plans? A15. Coverage under the SIGNATURE Life Insurance and Disney Business Travel Accident Plan will end as of your date of separation. You can convert your employee and dependent life insurance policies to individual policies by contacting Prudential. You must contact them within 31 days of your termination date. You pay the full cost of converted coverage.

Q16. Will I have to provide personal medical information to convert to an individual life insurance policy? A16. No, they will automatically convert your existing coverage without evidence of insurability. However, if you want to increase your coverage amount, you will need to provide that information if requested by Prudential. REIMBURSEMENT ACCOUNTS Q17. What will happen to my Reimbursement Accounts for the remainder of 2006? A17. If you participate in the Health Care or Dependent Day Care Reimbursement Accounts, your pre-tax contributions will stop at your termination date. You will only be able to file claims under either plan for eligible expenses or services incurred up to your separation date. You will have until June 30, 2007 to file claims for expenses incurred in 2006. You can also elect to continue post-tax contributions to the Health Care Reimbursement Account under COBRA and if so, you can continue to submit claims for any eligible health care expenses incurred as long as you are participating in that account under COBRA. Q18. May I change my 2006 Reimbursement Account election If I am selected for and then resign or retire pursuant to the VSP? A18. No. Under IRS regulations voluntary separation is not considered a life event change and therefore no change in election is permitted. 401(K) Plan Q19. Can I continue to contribute to the 401(k) plan? A19. No. Your participation in the 401(k) stops on your separation date. You will receive information regarding your options for handling your 401(k) account balance, including transfer, distribution, rollover, or leaving the funds in the plan. You can call Fidelity or log onto the web site at www.401k.com for more information. Q20. What will happen with my 401(k) loan? A20. You will have 60 days from your separation date to pay off the amount of the loan in full. Contact the Disney 401(k) office for details and the amount payable.

Q21. Will there be 401(k) deductions taken out of my Special Separation Payment if I am selected for and resign or retire under the VSP? A21. No. Your last regular weekly paycheck will include your final pre-tax employee contribution to the 401(k) plan. Any Special Separation Payment or vacation pay you receive will not have 401(k) deductions applied. OTHER DISNEY BENEFIT PROGRAMS Q22. What happens to Long-Term Care (LTC) Coverage? A22. You will receive a direct bill from MetLife after you separate from the Company. If you do not pay this bill within 30 days, your policy will then be cancelled. For LTC questions, call 1-888-526-8495. Q23. What happens to Group Auto/Home Insurance? A23. If you have payroll deductions for Group Auto/Home Insurance, you will receive a direct bill from MetLife, Merastar or Travelers after you separate from the Company. If you do not pay this bill within 30 days, you policy will then be cancelled. Group Auto/Home questions, call 1-800-251-0904. Q24. Can I continue to participate in the Group Legal Plan? Q24. You can continue participation in the Group Legal Plan by contacting Hyatt Legal Services at 1-800-821-6400 within 30 days after you separate from the Company and pay the full annual premium for the coverage.
