Covered travellers can access these support services anywhere in the world. Local Experts ACE has a team of A&H underwriters based in five state capitals. They focus on high value relationship management and efficient account underwriting, always working toward the needs of our mutual clients. In addition to the branch underwriting teams, ACE has a centralised A&H underwriting unit to manage the transactional functions associated with our e*placement online insurance platform. This unit ensures exemplary service levels are delivered to our broker partners. ACE s local A&H claims team was recently expanded to enable the management of all business travel claims adjudications. Based in North Sydney, the team liaises with brokers and clients to achieve swift and satisfactory outcomes that are the hallmark of a proactive and quality claims service. The local claims team also adjudicate on all intermediated personal accident, expatriate and inpatriate policy claims. Policy Highlights Following a strategic review that considered client needs, broker feedback and increased claim complexity, ACE has launched a new Business Travel Insurance policy. Highlights of the policy include: The general age exclusion has been removed, offering a level of cover to people of all ages Unlimited loss of deposits and cancellation cover for business trips An automatic extension for incidental private travel and directors & executives private travel An online portal and smartphone app allowing policyholders and their employees to access travel security and safety information, both pre-travel and while on a business trip Ground support from specialist security personnel and/or evacuation assistance in the event of civil unrest, natural disaster or a terrorism incident An additional lump sum benefit payable if a covered persons dies as a result of a specified sickness, such as a heart attack or stroke, while on a business trip 03

Key Features and Benefits (continued) Alternative Employee/Resumption of Assignment Expenses Costs incurred sending a substitute employee to complete the business of the covered person who cannot complete travel due to their death, injury, sickness, or any other unforeseen circumstance Costs incurred with the covered person re-commencing travel within 90 days of returning home as result of the above Baggage and Travel Documents Includes loss, theft of or damage to: Personal and business property Money and travel documents Electronic equipment Delayed or misdirected baggage If a covered person is hospitalised or evacuated and then separated from their belongings, the cost of returning their belongings is covered If the covered person s home is burgled while they are travelling, cover is provided for the excess payable under their home contents insurance policy Cash and business property is covered for 72-hours before and 72-hours after a business trip Personal Liability Coverage highlights Cover for the traveller s legal liability to pay damages in respect to an accident which results in: Injury to other people Loss of or damage to another person s property Legal expenses recoverable by the claimant and in the defense of a claim Daily benefit for covered persons who are required to attend court in connection with an event under this section Rental and Personal Vehicle Excess Excess payable due to a rental vehicle being stolen or damaged Excess payable due to a personal vehicle being involved in a collision Extra-Territorial Workers Compensation Rental vehicle excess cover for 24-hours before and 24-hours after a journey Towing fees not ordinarily covered as a result of damage that renders the vehicle undriveable. This also applies if the covered person suffers an injury or sickness which deems them unfit to drive.
