INTRODUCTION There are number of welfare Schemes and programmes for the Students of Post Graduate Teaching Departments, Conducted and affiliated Colleges of the University. It has been observed that students are not aware about all these schemes. Every year Central & State Government, UGC, AICTE, and University through various schemes provide scholarships or fellowships to Students. There are some welfare schemes for students like medical reimbursement, accident benefit, financial aids and students welfare fund. It was found that the needy students are not deriving benefits of such schemes. Taking into consideration these aspects a committee was constituted by the Hon ble Vice-Chancellor to publish an Information Brochure for students in order to make them aware about schemes which can prove to be useful. These schemes are operated through various departments of the university. Therefore basic information about these schemes are compiled in one booklet. It is expected that the students desirous to avail benefits of these schemes will be able to get the required information. It is expected that this publication would be useful to encourage students to derive the maximum benefits of the available schemes. Information of some schemes is also available on the website of the University- www.nagpuruniversity.org. An attempt has been made to incorporate information about the various courses available for the students of Post Graduate Departments, affiliated and conducted colleges under various faculties in the university. Activities of the University are varied in nature. The focuses of the activities is always our students and are performed through various centers, sub centers and departments. Information about these centers and facilities available for students are provided through this brochure. We are confident that this will act as a guide to the students and parents. We feel happy to present first edition of this information brochure. The information and other details are likely to be changed in future. 1
