Achieve community economic development through job creation and retention by providing long-term, fixed-asset financing to small business concerns. Program is administered by 4 different Certified Development Companies in Oklahoma.

Fees are approximately 3.5% of the SBA portion of financing and are rolled into the SBA 504 debenture. Third party lender also has to pay 0.5% Participation fee.

The SBA 7(a) loan was developed by SBA to reduce lender s risk by guaranteeing the major portions of loans made to small businesses.

Maximum loan amount for a 7(a) loan is $2,000,000. 85% guaranty on loans of $150,000 or less 75% guaranty on loans of $150,001 or more

Guaranty fees are due within 90 days of approval and are based on the following: Total loan amount is $150,000 or less, the fee is 2% of the guaranteed portion. Total loan amount is more than $150,000 up to and including $700,000, the fee is 3% of the guaranteed portion. Total loan amount is more than $700,000 up to $1,000,000, the fee is 3.5% of the guaranteed portion. For loans greater than $1,000,000, an additional 0.25% guaranty fee will be charged for that portion greater than $1,000,000. The portion of $1,000,000 or less will be charged a 3.5% guaranty fee. The portion greater than$1,000,000 will be charged a 3.75% guaranty fee.

The B&I Guaranteed loan was developed by USDA Rural Development to reduce the risk of lenders by guaranteeing the major portions of loans made to businesses in rural areas. A rural area is defined as an area having a population less than 50,000 inhabitants.

80% guaranty on loans of $5 million or less 70% on loans between $5 million and $10 million 60% on loans over $10 million* *USDA s loan limit is $10 million. However, loans up to $25 million can be approved under certain circumstances.

Guaranty fees are due before the Loan Note Guarantee is issued: The fee is 2% of the guaranteed portion of the loan. Loans are also subject to an annual renewal fee, which is established on a yearly basis.

Interest rates will be negotiated between the lender and the applicant and may be either fixed or variable as long as it is a legal rate. Interest rates will not be more than those rates customarily charged to borrowers in similar circumstances.

For existing businesses, a minimum of tenpercent tangible balance sheet equity. Twenty-percent tangible balance sheet equity is required for new businesses. Equity is required at the time of the issuance of the loan note guarantee. Equity is developed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

All collateral must secure the entire loan. Collateral will be discounted consistent with sound loan-to-value policies. Personal and corporate guarantees are required. Life insurance is required.
