6 How it works. SBA s loan guarantee programs provide a key source of financing for viable small businesses unable to qualify for loans from traditional sources. The three principal players in an SBA guaranteed loan: The small business borrower The private lender The SBA
7 7(a) Loan Program SBA s Primary Business Loan Program Maximum Loan increased from $2 to $ 5 million Maximum SBA Guarantee 75% for loans greater than $150,000 85% for loans less than $150,000
8 7(a) Loan Program Interest Rate - Negotiated with lender SBA sets maximum Maturities - Generally longer term 5-10 years for working capital 25 years for real estate Fees - Based on maturity and SBA Guaranty
9 7(a) Loan Program Loans can be used for most sound business purposes: working capital machinery & equipment furniture & fixtures land & building purchase/construction leasehold improvements
10 SBAExpress Loans up to $ 350,000 Lenders use their own forms, analysis and procedures SBA guarantees 50% of the SBAExpress Loan Revolving lines of credit are allowed ideal for seasonal businesses, contractors and businesses with short-term working capital needs.
11 Patriot Express Eligible military community members include: Veterans/service disabled veterans Active duty military eligible for TAP Reservists and National Guard Members Current spouses of any of the above Widowed spouse of service member/veteran who died during service or of a service-connected disability Maximum Loan Size : $500,000 SBA Guaranty : 75% for loans greater than $150,000 85% for loans less than $150,000
