Appendix C3: Recommendations from eminent scholars in the relevant field JHOM is the international journal of choice for those researchers and practitioners working at the crucial interface between the OB field and health care. It produces extremely important research findings of high impact and consistent quality. Editors Suzanne Robinson and Helen Dickinson are amongst the most respected in the field, and their efforts to improve the journal s reach, relevance and authority in recent years have borne considerable fruit and are well known across the international community. I am on the Editorial Board for precisely these reasons, and am proud to be so. It is obvious to me and my international colleagues that JHOM should be recognised by being upgraded in the Australian ABDC rankings. Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite, PhD, Foundation Director, Australian Institute of Health Innovation; Director, Centre for Clinical Governance Research; Professor of Health Systems Research; Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia The Journal of Health Organization and Management has made an impact by the strategic use of special issues on subjects such as leadership, emotions, trust and power within healthcare (to name a few). It publishes high quality quantitative and qualitative articles. Dr. Anthony Montgomery, University College Cork, Ireland "The Journal of Health Organisation and Management produces highly stimulating and relevant material of great interest to a wide range of health related disciplines." - Craig Mitton, University of British Columbia, Canada The Journal of Health Organisation and Management occupies a unique place in the realm of health services publications. It attracts and publishes high value studies from internationally recognised authors. The journal influences both theory and practice, exposing readers to a ideas and research that question the often taken for granted assumptions of organisation studies in health care. Both our research and our coursework students, as well as our Program and Faculty members, utilise the journal as a first point of reference on issues of organisational behaviour in this field. As a reviewer for the journal I can attest to the editorial competence and equally important, vision of the Editors. It is clear to myself, my colleagues and the next generation of health services researchers and practitioners that JHOM should be upgraded in the Australian ABDC rankings. Joanne Travaglia, PhD, Director, Health Management Program, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Clinical Governance Research, Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales.
