1 2015-2016 CHRISTIAN VOCATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR SEMINARY AND COLLEGE STUDENTS FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH NAPLES APPLICATION TO REAPPLY Thirty-three years ago, in 1982, Hal and Jimmie Lou Jacobs encouraged First Baptist Church Naples to establish a scholarship fund to help young people fulfill God s call on their life to full-time vocational Christian service. Hal served 17 years as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee for seminary & college students until his death in May 1999. Scholarships have been awarded to 100+ men and women who attended or are now attending seminaries, universities, colleges, and Bible colleges across the USA, Hungary and Argentina. While our current recipients prepare to serve, many former recipients are now serving Christ in churches and other ministries in the following capacities: Pastor ; Associate Pastor ; Youth Pastor; Minister of Music; Evangelist; Missionary; Christian Counselor God s call to vocational Christian service has been reaffirmed to our recipients through God s Word in scriptures like: How are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? 2 2015-2016 APPLICATION TO REAPPLY CHRISTIAN VOCATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR SEMINARY AND COLLEGE STUDENTS Scholarships are currently available to students completing a Bachelors or Masters degree while pursuing a vocational call to ministry in the following areas: Pastor, Associate Pastor (Pre-School, Children, Students, Adults, Music & Worship), Biblical Counseling, Evangelism, and Missions. Criteria for selection and Requirements of all scholarship recipients: Current recipients of this scholarship who wish to continue receiving assistance must reapply each year. Notify David George, dgeorge@fbalions.org by December 31, 2015 of your intent, and you will be contacted when the Application To Reapply is ready. Deadline to apply for a 2015-2016 scholarship is May 1st, 2015.
