are you between 18 and 30 years old? APPLY FOR EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE

Cesvot s institutional role is to promote and support volunteer work by developing services and projects with volunteer associations in Tuscany. European Voluntary Service (Evs), as a key EU policy tool, is a concrete opportunity to spread and promote volunteering among young people, laying out a programme that maximizes the value of European volunteering experiences. For this purpose, Cesvot has requested and obtained accreditation from Agenzia Nazionale Giovani (Italy s National Youth Agency) as a sending and coordinating organization for taking part in Action 2-Evs of the Youth in Action Programme. WHAT IS EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE? Evs is an action within the Youth in Action programme, instituted by the European Commission with the aim of promoting solidarity, tolerance, active citizenship and mutual understanding among young people. Evs is not occasional, unstructured, part-time volunteering. Evs is not a paid job, an internship, a recreational or tourist activity, a language course, a period of study or vocational training abroad, or exploitation of cheap labour. WHAT DOES IT CONSIST IN? For young people, Evs is an opportunity for informal personal development through volunteer work in a foreign country.

For associations, it is an opportunity to undertake new projects and promote active citizenship on the part of young people. WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF AN EVS PROJECT, AND HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? Evs projects can focus on various themes: culture, sports, social care, health, environment, art, etc., and they offer a volunteer experience lasting from 2 to 12 months. Projects aimed at volunteers with more limited opportunities can have a shorter duration, from 2 weeks to 2 months. condition, or geographic location.
