The application process Online application now open on our website www.nottingham.ac.uk/studyabroad Deadline Friday 30 January PDF version of application and FAQ s available Select three choices from the list of possible universities for your home school(s)/department(s) Nominate a referee; academic reference submitted to the International Office by your academic advisor Personal statement section Joint Honours students
The selection process Three requirements: 1. Minimum of 60% average to date 2. Strong academic reference and support of your home school(s) 3. Strong personal statement 4. Only a certain number of places offered at each partner: minimum of 2 semester places up to a maximum of 20 semester places
Academic requirements 60% is a minimum average grade to be considered for the programme. Your overall average mark from the start of your degree programme including assessment in January 2015 will be used. You may not know the outcome of your January assessments before you apply to the programme. The stronger you are academically, the more likely you are to be allocated to one of your three choices. You are competing with other students from across the University.
How do I decide where to apply for? You may be allocated to any of the three universities chosen Refer to the website for the information on the partners Ask yourself some key questions - What do I want to get out of studying abroad? - How do I study best? - What kind of person am I, what are my interests? - How far do I want to travel?
How much will it cost, and how much can I afford to spend? Partner University Factsheets Exchange rate compared to the? Cost of living? Compulsory costs: Visa? Health insurance? Flight? Compulsory on-campus accommodation? Look at your eligibility for scholarships, bursaries and the Travel Grant
