AFRICA RIDING ADVENTURES TOURS MOTORCYCLE RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS GUIDED TOUR TERMS & CONDITIONS RESERVATIONS Reservations are accepted upon the payment of a 30% deposit of the total amount of the rental period. There are no refunds for cancellations or early returns. Clients may reserve their preferred motorcycle model at the time of booking (subject to availability). Payments can be made via bank draft, electronic transfer (confirmation of reception of funds must be made before pick-up) or in cash prior to pick-up. All bank expenses are at the client s expense. All prices quoted in Euros. Payment in US Dollars, and ETH Birr are accepted at the day s exchange rate. SECURITY DEPOSITS In addition to the full price for the rental of the motorcycle a security deposit will be taken. The security deposit will be made up of the client s passport and Euro 1,500 to cover for damage not covered by the insurance. Deposits will be taken at pick-up. This deposit is fully refundable if the motorbike is returned undamaged. In case of damage the client will be notified as soon as possible of the damage cost and this will be deducted from the security deposit. In case of damage or theft, which is not covered by the insurance the deposit will also cover for the excess not covered by the insurance company to be paid by the customer. Deposits must be paid in cash, bank transfer (proof of transfer will be required), checks from bank accounts in Ethiopia or Visa Credit Cards, prior to pick-up. If paying by credit card the deposit amount will be deducted from the card in ETH Birr at the day s exchange rate. When you return your motorcycle to our office undamaged and within the stipulated return date we will refund the total amount of the deposit left (without the surcharge). If the motorcycle has any damages not covered by the insurance, or is not returned to our premises within the agreed date, the appropriate costs up to the full security deposit will be deducted. Note: unfortunately pre-authorization is still being piloted in Ethiopia and thus not yet available for commercial purposes. Funds will therefore actually leave your credit card account. Checks will only be cashed in case of damage not covered by the insurance, to cover for the excess of damage cover for the insurance or theft. The day s exchange rate to ETH Birr will apply.

LIABILITY Africa Riding Adventures Tours is not responsible or liable for any accidents and/or bodily injury or death resulting from the use of a rental motorcycle. Africa Riding Adventures Tours reserves the right to change a reserved model in the same category or upgrade a model (at no additional cost to the client) due to unforeseen operational reasons (e.g. theft, accident). Bikes are insured against third parties and theft when a police report is obtained. Clients are responsible for reporting the accident or theft to the police and obtain a police report. If no police report is obtained, clients are liable to reimburse Africa Riding Adventures Tours for any damage caused or the value of the motorbike at the time of theft. These two documents in conjunction with these terms and conditions and a motorbike check-list at the time of hand-over constitute the entire rental agreement and a binding contract between the client and Africa Riding Adventures Tours. Africa Riding Adventures Tours will not enter into a rental agreement without these documents being duly signed prior to pick-up.
