At Westpac we have a wide range of insurance all under one roof. What are my options? Insure your Home and Contents Home Cover Insures your home against accidental damage by things like fire, flooding, burglary or natural disasters. Full Contents Cover Protects the items in your home and personal belongings if they re accidentally lost, stolen or damaged. Renter s Contents Cover Covers your belongings when you re renting or flatting, up to $25,000. Insure your Vehicle and Boat Full Vehicle Cover To fix or replace your vehicle if it is accidentally damaged or stolen, with lots of extra benefits. Third Party Fire & Theft Vehicle Cover Covers for your vehicle against fire and theft. Also provides cover if you damage another person s vehicle or property. Third Party Vehicle Cover Protects you if you damage another person s vehicle or property. Boat Insurance Cover for your boat, trailer and the gear that goes with it. 3
Insurance for your home A simple, competitively-priced option for insuring your home against accidental damage. It could help you rest easy knowing your home will be repaired or rebuilt if it s accidentally damaged by things like fire, water, burglary or natural disasters. Benefits of Westpac Home Cover: Great value: competitively priced, comprehensive home insurance. Can help pay the bills: could pay a contribution towards your Westpac home loan up to $1,500 per month for 3 months in the event of a total loss, and a $1,000 stress payment. Accidents happen: including damage by fire, water, burglary or natural disasters. Protect your rental house: recover lost rents for up to 12 months as a landlord, up to a maximum of $20,000, while your house is being repaired or rebuilt. Plus, up to $5,000 cover of your chattels, like appliances, furniture, carpets and blinds. The cost depends on the size and value of your home, where you live and the excess you choose to pay. You could save on your total insurance costs by combining some of the other Westpac insurance options together with your Home Cover. Full Contents Cover It s important to protect what s in the house as well as the building itself and our Full Contents Cover does just that. Take a look at our Contents Valuation Guide at www.westpac.co.nz. This will help you to work out how much cover you need. But remember, it s only a guide your belongings may be worth more or less. Benefits of Full Contents Cover: Great value: competitively priced, comprehensive contents insurance. Replace old with new: we ll replace many of your major household items with new ones, no matter how old they are if you make a valid claim. Accidents happen: you re also covered for personal liability should you accidentally injure someone for up to $100,000, or damage their property for up to $2 million. Those special things: items like cameras, bicycles, sporting equipment and other selected items over $2,500 can be covered, provided they re specified on your policy. Good news for home businesses: the items you use at home are automatically covered for up to $10,000, but some limits apply. Plus loads of added extras: like temporary accommodation, new locks if your keys are stolen, or for damage caused by your pets. Renter s Contents Insurance Renting or flatting by yourself, with family members or other tenants? Your landlord won t cover your belongings, so it s up to you! Renter s Contents insurance can cover your belongings for up to $25,000 if they re lost, stolen or accidentally damaged. Benefits of Renter s Contents Insurance: Great value: insurance for the contents of your home and other belongings. Flexibility: choose standard cover amounts of $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 or $25,000. Accidents happen: you re also covered for personal liability should you accidentally injure someone for up to $100,000, or damage your landlord s or someone else s property for up to $2 million. Full Vehicle Cover & Third Party Insurance Whether you have one car or two, motorbike, our range of vehicle cover could help protect all your wheels. Put simply if your vehicle is stolen or damaged from an accident, fire or natural disaster, you could be covered. If you re on a tight budget, we also offer third party fire and theft cover, or just third party cover. Benefits of Full Vehicle Cover: Windscreens and windows: we ll cover the cost of the repair or replacement and you won t have to pay an excess or lose your no claims bonus. Accidents happen: after an accident, if your car can t be driven you could get help or cover for travel and accommodation. We also help with the clean up of an accident scene, and in getting your repaired car home. New vehicle, no worries: if you ve just bought a brand new vehicle and it s written off in an accident in the first year from first registration, you ll get a brand new replacement car (as long as the model is still available). Extra benefits: we cover extras like lost or stolen keys and locks, trailers up to $1,000. Additional Westpac Auto Assist*: an optional benefit providing a breakdown service and 3 complimentary call outs per year for things like a flat battery, flat tyre or if you run out of fuel. What does it cost? The cost of vehicle cover depends on the type of vehicle you own, how much it is worth and things like your age and driving record. It also depends on what excess you choose and the type of cover you want. You won t lose your no-claims bonus or have to pay the excess if: your vehicle is in an accident caused by someone else, and you can identify the other driver and the other driver was substantially more at fault. Third Party Insurance Third Party Fire and Theft & Third Party only If you re on a tight budget, it might be worth considering third party cover for your vehicle to provide affordable protection. You can also get third party insurance with extra cover for fire and theft. What does it cover: damage or loss to your vehicle by fire or theft (Third Party Fire and Theft insurance only). liability for accidental damage to another person s property (up to $20 million). damage to your vehicle caused by an uninsured driver in another car, provided you can identify them and prove it was their fault (up to $3,000). Motorbikes, Caravans & Boats Cover your motorbike: You can insure your motorbike in case it s stolen or damaged in an accident or natural disaster. Or if you are on a tight budget, you can just get third party cover if you prefer. There are some added conditions for bikes. For example stolen parts aren t covered and your cover doesn t include any extra costs, such as cleaning up an accident site. What does it cost? The cost of motorcycle cover depends on the type of motorcycle you own, how much it is worth and things like your age, and driving record. It also depends on your excess and the type of cover you want. Cover your caravan You can insure your caravan for theft and accidental damage while it s being towed. Your cover includes the fittings and furniture normally sold with a caravan, plus up to $1,000 for other items and personal belongings carried inside the caravan. Cover is not available for permanently parked caravans. What does it cost? The cost of caravan cover depends on how much it is worth and things like your age, and driving record. Cover your boat Boat insurance can cover your boat no matter where it is in New Zealand on land or in water and some of the gear on board. You re covered if you lose or accidentally damage: your boat trailer. any navigation gear normally sold with a boat. sails, masts, spars and riggings (you will need to consider extra cover if your boat is a yacht involved in racing). someone else s property with your boat for which you are liable (up to $1 million). salvage costs if your boat needs to be recovered after an accident. What does it cost? It depends on the type of boat, your claims record, the activities you use your boat for, where your boat is kept and the excess you choose. The standard excess for a boat is $100. Did you know? Boat Cover is only for private recreational boats. If your boat is used commercially or for power boat racing it isn t covered by this policy. 13

You can get started with your application by: calling us on 0800 177 277 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 8:30pm; or 9am to 3pm Saturday) visiting your local Westpac branch. It s okay if you change your mind. And in case you do, we offer a free-look period of 30 days from the date we receive your application. If you decide the cover is not for you during the free look period, just let us know and we ll refund any premiums you ve paid.
