Represent California parolees and prison inmates on appointed and retained bases at hearings before the California Board of Parole Hearings at parole revocation; parole extension; psychiatric return; and lifer consideration hearings (over 3,000). Represent appellants on direct appeals to the California Court of Appeal, California Supreme Court, and U.S. Supreme Court (appointed through California Appellate Project, approximately ten). Represented parolees in habeas corpus proceedings stemming from parole revocation hearings (approximately seven). Federal sentencing consultant (approximately seven). United States Probation Officer, U.S. District Court, Central District of California. 1995 to 2000. Authored presentence reports; supervised other probation officers; coordinated the Financial Investigation Unit, which provided intensive monitoring and supervision for the Central District s worst financial predators.
