PREAMBLE:. >>>0<<< In the Government Order read at (1) above, the Scheme is being implemented grant National Overseas scholarships to the Minority Students for higher studies. The above said scheme is being continued and an amount of Rs. 200.00 lakhs. under the Head of Account 2225-03-277-2-75 has been earmarked during the current financial year 2014-15 vide Government Order read at (2) above. The first and second quarterly instalments already of Rs. 100.00 lakhs has been released vide Government Order read at (3) above for the above said purpose. The Director, Directorate of Minorities has requested to sanction and release the scholarships to disburse to 59 eligible Minority Students (fresh) for the year 2014-15 vide the Resolution of the Selection Committee read at (4) above. In case of the students discontinued the studies, the amount of scholarship sanctioned to be returned to the Director, Directorate of Minorities, Bangalore, through DD. An affidavit to that effect has to be obtained from the students. 2. The amount may be released to the students with the conditions that requisite document will have to be furnished by the selected candidates. 3. After Utilization of grants, Utilisation Certificate shall be furnished in accordance with rules. 4. A progress report for having achieved Physical and Financial targets for having implementing the scheme may be furnished...5.
-5- S.The expenditure incurred for publicity, etc for the programme may be fumished to the Government within the stipulated period. 6.The requisite documents with regard to the admission of students in the Universities overseas may be obtained. 7.The students who fail to get admission in the universities overseas are not entitled for the scholarship. 8.The maximum amount of scholarship of Rs. 10.00 Lakh admissible for two years will be released even though the course is for a period of three years. No amount of scholarship will be released for the third year. The expenditure shall be debited to 117 Head ofaccount 2225-03-277-2-75 of current year's allotment for the students persuing studies overseas scholarship State Sector for the year 2ol4-15 out of Budget provided for Muslim students, under Head of Account 2225-03-102-0-14 (059) out of the funds provided under Christian Development scheme for the Christian students, and under Head of Account 2225-03-277-2-32(117) provided under Jain community scholarship scheme for the Jain Students.
