For asset management operations, there is a unified global framework that includes Nissay Group bases in New York, London and Singapore. For corporate pension plans, the company provides a large selection of asset management products that utilize Nissay Group expertise acquired over many years. In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, the Insurance Asset Management Department was established to enable Nippon Life to address a broad range of corporate and individual asset management requirements other than for pensions. Another development project was the Payment Underwriting System to reinforce payment operations at Nippon Life. This involves a comprehensive restructuring of core IT systems to upgrade services from the viewpoint of customers.
