Learning and Development Programme We are pleased to share with you the HEPA programme of events for September 2015 to July 2016. We hope this brochure will be a useful reference tool to help you identify and plan the learning and development of both you and your team. If you know what you want to achieve but are unsure of how best to achieve it, please do give us a call and we ll do our best to guide and support you. What is HEPA? HEPA is the support organisation for procurement professionals in UK Higher Education. It aims to improve the expertise and capacity of UK university procurement. It was established in response to the challenge set out in the 2011 Diamond Report, and is delivered collaboratively by BUFDG and the HE purchasing consortia. It provides face to face courses, e-learning and webinars, forums for networking, and an online repository of information encompassing best practice, benchmarking, templates, news, and more. Writing a Tender Specification HEIs, along with all public contracting authorities, will need to update their tendering processes to accommodate the new UK Public Contracts Regulations. OTHER The Supplier s Perspective OTHER This one-day course, delivered by experienced professional trainer Andy Brown of NRI, aims to enable buyers to build better relationships with sellers through developing a greater understanding of the way sellers think. It will identify key drivers for sales people and explore some of the methods they use to influence, engage and persuade buyers. By the end of the day delegates will have explored models of psychology and belief cycles in order to gain a better understanding of the other party, to help them in their dealings and negotiations with suppliers. Cyber Security CIPS Online Course This online course, jointly-created by GCHQ, BIS, and CIPS, has been developed to help raise awareness of how employees and organisations can mitigate against cyber threats.
