Pre-Assembly Email Society Hosted Hi everyone, As you know, this (INSERT DAY) we will be holding the Kick-Off Assembly for our MS Read-A-Thon campaign. A representative from the MS Society of Canada will be coming to the school to talk to us about multiple sclerosis and to explain why it is important to raise funds for the thousands of Canadians living with MS. The MS Read-A-Thon program is easily integrated into our day-to-day curriculum all the students have to do is read! I hope that I will have your support and that you will help to encourage your classes to get behind this campaign and make a difference in the lives of people in our community, around the country, and throughout the world. Please click here to watch a YouTube video called ABC Read for Me! which profiles motivated student participants in the MS Read-A-Thon alongside a few Canadians living with MS. The video is a great tool to show how easy it is to get involved in the program, and how supporting the campaign benefits those living with multiple sclerosis. Keep an eye out for further communication from me in the coming weeks regarding important program dates and instructions. Please come to me if you have any questions about the program, or would like to discuss ideas to help get your class involved. Thanks!

Post-Assembly Instructions Email Hi all, Thank you for attending today s MS Read-A-Thon Kick-Off Assembly. I hope that you are as enthusiastic about this campaign as I am, and that you ve learned a bit more about the cause that we are supporting. As I mentioned in my previous email, I have some important dates for you to keep in mind and some ideas to help you incorporate the program into your classroom activities. Our reading period begins today and will run until (INSERT END DATE). During this time, I encourage you to set reading and fundraising goals with your class. You can set individual goals for each student or work as a team to achieve a certain amount of minutes read and dollars raised. Remind them that every bit counts and that by participating in the MS Read-A-Thon, they will be helping people throughout Canada who are living with multiple sclerosis. If you need some help motivating them to get involved, check out the MS Read-A-Thon website (msreadathon.ca) to find printable classroom activities, such as word search games, downloadable books about MS, and book review templates. You will also find fundraising ideas and more details about how to explain multiple sclerosis to kids. Also, click here to open a link to a YouTube video that you can share with your class. It s a fun play on the song I Gotta Feeling by the Black-Eyed Peas to encourage kids to get reading I m sure the students will recognize it! Let me know if you have any questions, and remember the more we read, the more we raise, the more we help! Take care,
