We have full-time and part-time positions available in our Communications Center at Minneapolis. Full-time 40 hrs/wk, 1.0 FTE, contract; Part-time 24 hrs/wk, 0.6 FTE, contract. As a Communications Specialist, primary duties and responsibilities include the following, however, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Receive incoming telephone and radio requests for service and information. Activate all Life Link III missions; fixed wing, rotor wing, ground and in-hospital assistance. Maintain radio communications and flight following activities. Operate all communications equipment, including radio and telephone systems. Maintain effective communications between agency/requestor, flight and ground personnel and receiving facility. Maintain an accurate, detailed log of all transport activity. Coordinate requests and schedule all pre-planned medical missions with sending and receiving facilities and support agencies. Direct to, or arrange for, service of other aircraft or EMS agency. Implement proper procedures for notification of Life Link III administrative personnel and aircraft vendor in the event of problems, incidents, or accidents. Driver- Wheelchair Van Link III is a comprehensive medical transport system, CAMTS certified. We provide Special Transportation (Wheelchair), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Critical Care inter-facility transport for patients in Minnesota and throughout the United States via ground, helicopter and fixed wing ambulance. Life Link III s ground operations are based in Minneapolis, along with helicopter bases throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The Special Transport Technician is responsible for the direct and safe wheelchair transportation of patients (and their belongings) to and from hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences by the use of a transport van. A lot of the transports are wheelchair bound clients, though assistance in transfers may be needed in to/out of the wheelchair and/or passenger seat/bench of the van, and walking up/down stairs with patients. Lift/maneuver patients while in wheelchairs in order to position and tie down wheels. Wheelchairs are lifted up/down stairs as well. Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more occasionally. We have fulltime positions available 1.0 FTE, 40 hrs/wk, 8 to 12 hour shifts, Monday-Sunday, no overnight hours; contract, benefits eligible, $10.43/hr. Valid driver s license. 2 years driving experience Emergency personnel working for Life Link III are responsible for administering Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Advanced Life Saving (ALS) services to patients as requested. The emergency worker will arrive to the call by way of a transport van, ambulance, helicopter or fixed wing aircraft (depending upon circumstances). On average, emergency personnel will respond to approximately 8 calls during their shift and work in a team of 2 people.
