on the road - AA assist Members have access to the following services in the event of a roadside emergency (limited up to R500 per incident): Flat battery (jump start or replacement of battery for the member s account) Flat tyre (help with change of tyre) Keys locked in vehicle (unlocking only) Fuel assistance (limited to five litres per incident) Minor roadside-running repairs (electrical, coil, immobilizer etc.) Transmission of urgent messages Tow-in service to the nearest approved dealership (if under warranty), repair centre or panelbeater in the event of: Mechanical breakdown - covered up to R500 Electrical breakdown - covered up to R500 Accident damage - cost covered to the nearest approved panelbeater up to a limit of R1,850 For breakdowns more than 100km from home: Overnight accommodation for the driver and four passengers - covered up to R500 or 24-hour, Group-B car rental - covered up to R500 (subject to availability and the driver being in possession of a valid credit card and driver s license) In the event of a member s vehicle being left for repairs, we will pay up to R500 for 24-hour, Group-B car rental or a flight ticket to collect the vehicle after repairs. Alternatively, should the vehicle have been towed to a dealership closer to the member s place of residence, we will supplement the additional tow costs with the costs of car rental. *Please note: This cover excludes all vehicles over 3 500kg, trailers, caravans and boats. A member will not be entitled to service where the vehicle is not in a roadworthy condition. Any costs incurred through arrangements made by the member without prior authorization shall not be reimbursed. Assistance is only available in South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland.

at home Emergency Services Notification: We will, at the member s request, relay notification of emergencies to the police, traffic, fire brigade, ambulance, security or any other emergency service provider. Fixtures & Fittings: In the event of a home emergency as a result of breakage of fixtures and fittings, we will arrange for an appropriate repairer (electrician, plumber, locksmith, glazier etc.) to address the problem at one nominated address (call-out fee and one hour labour is covered, thereafter normal rates apply). A home emergency is defined as an event that is potentially life threatening or could possibly cause structural damage to a property. Overall limit of R2 000 per annum per policy.

for trauma & assault This is a 24-hour emergency assistance helpline that: Arranges the nearest local emergency assistance service as well as provides emergency transport to the nearest, most appropriate medical facility Offers referrals for psychiatric consultations Covers R5 000 per insured person with a maximum of R10 000 per family per occurrence in respect of medical-indicated treatment for bodily injury Covers R5 000 per insured person with a maximum of R10 000 per family per occurrence in respect of psychiatric consultations for HIV The HIV-protection treatment service ensures confidential testing and treatment within the 72-hour window period. It includes: 24-hour access to trauma counsellors, providing telephonic trauma counselling as well as counselling for post-traumatic stress disorder Three psychiatric consultations with a specialist, which can be either a general practitioner, trauma-trained registered nurse or trauma counsellor Three HIV-blood tests one immediately after the incident and the second and third at six weeks and three months respectively Access to STD-preventative medication Access to anti-retroviral or prophylactic therapy Access to the morning-after pill

intelligent panic Intelligent Panic comprises the following: This is a breakthrough in mobile emergency assistance and is a panic service that incorporates a call centre linked to one s cell phone panic facility. The user simply presses their chosen panic number, saved on their mobile phone, and the Intelligent Panic emergency call centre, staffed with experienced Crisis Managers, will phone the client back and case-manage their emergency to completion, on a 24/7 basis, using the latest Location Based Services. Intelligent Panic ensures that: The users will never have to remember an emergency number again! The user will never be alone in an emergency! The user has access to all emergency support services from one button on their cell How to activate Intelligent Panic Intelligent Panic is a facility on your cell phone which, by holding one pre-selected number for 3 seconds, will send a panic message to the Intelligent Panic call centre. Once activated, a call centre operator calls back immediately and attends to your particular emergency. You will be introduced to Intelligent Panic by your broker or assistance program. To activate the service, you will receive two SMS s within a short space of time. The first welcome SMS reads: Welcome to Intelligent Panic. Save *120*880*725378# and assign it to a speed dial number. Update your information on www.echelonpci.co.za The second SMS is a business card that you can save as a contact on your phone. After activation, when you send a panic message, a SMS will appear on your phone reading... An alert will be sent to Intelligent Panic. An operator will contact you shortly.
