Important Notes: A Tour Book will be distributed to everyone attending the tour about one month prior to departure date. This will include hotel contact information and all flight details. During this exciting time of Wing Chun training and sightseeing in China we will be staying in three different hotels. As we will be moving around, taking buses as well as a boat, checking into hotels, checking in at airports, it is IMPORTANT to keep your luggage to a minimum. Do not bring unnecessary items, pack toiletries into small containers, and try to keep your souvenir shopping for the end of the trip especially if you intend to purchase large items. Remember that Australia has very strict import regulations regarding weapons and you cannot bring swords and other weapons back to Australia without a weapons license. It can be very cumbersome if you have to drag too much luggage around on a trip like this, not to mention the excess luggage fee that you will be charged at airports. Keep your total check-in luggage weight to under 20kgs, taking into account items you may purchase on the trip. Spending Money: You should bring a minimum of AUD$200 spending money or a credit card to cover purchase of water and other incidentals. Weather in China during October: Foshan (in the south) average daytime temperature is 29 o C (83 o F) down to 20 o C (68 o F) at night. Dengfeng (central) average daytime temperature is 20 o C (68 o F) down to 9 o C (48 o F) at night. Hong Kong average daytime temperature is around 27 o C / 80 o F, with clear sunny skies and low humidity down to 23 o C (75 o F) at night. Overall, the weather is usually mild and comfortable. 3
