Mutual Fund Advisory Program GIVING YOU ACCESS TO A WIDE RANGE OF PROFESSIONALLY MANAGED MUTUAL FUND PORTFOLIOS

THE MUTUAL FUND ADVISORY PROGRAM OFFERS YOU: > Access to actively managed investment solutions for a low minimum ($50,000) > A personalized investment plan > An objective, unbiased investment process > Investor-friendly quarterly performance reports > Ongoing portfolio management and rebalancing Mutual Fund Advisory Program The Mutual Fund Advisory Program provides you with an actively managed portfolio comprised of carefully selected mutual funds. Unlike some programs that are restricted to a specific fund family, this program gives you access to a wide range of professionally managed mutual fund portfolios designed to help you reach your unique financial goals. Through the Mutual Fund Advisory Program, you can benefit from the knowledge, resources, and experience of professional money managers while receiving the ongoing guidance of your investment representative. Your investment representative will lead you through a fourstep investment process that s customized to address your unique needs and to help you achieve your long-term goals: STEP 1 IDENTIFY GOALS AND OBJECTIVES The investment representative will help you define your tolerance for risk, time frame for your investments, and outlook for future financial needs. STEP 2 DETERMINE ASSET ALLOCATION POLICY The weighting of the various asset categories that make up a portfolio is one of the most important factors in the successful implementation of any investment strategy. However, asset allocation involves more than just calculating the right blend of stocks, bonds, and cash in a portfolio. The money manager will help balance this mix with changing market conditions and make sure it stays in line with your investment objectives. 1

The Portfolios STEP 3 RECOMMEND ASSET MANAGERS AND IMPLEMENT STRATEGY Before a mutual fund is selected for your portfolio, it is put through a rigorous due diligence process. The process is designed to identify funds that have performed well in the past and that appear likely to perform well in the future.* Moreover, with a broad universe of funds to choose from, an optimally diversified portfolio can be built.** This open architecture platform provides the money manager with the freedom to choose the best solutions available to suit your needs. STEP 4 ONGOING PORTFOLIO MONITORING To make sure the portfolio stays on track to meet your stated objectives, progress is monitored by your investment representative and the money manager on an ongoing basis. Market conditions, contributions to the account, and other factors may cause the allocations to fall outside the targets originally set for the portfolio. If this happens, the portfolio may be rebalanced by the money manager to bring allocations back within the desired range. In addition, ongoing changes to the mix of funds will be made based upon the latest research and information found during the investment selection process. You gain access to a number of different model portfolios based on specific asset allocation strategies. Each strategy is intended to provide you with a level of return consistent with your long-term goals while managing the risk you assume.
