Dear Customer, Thank you for buying our product. You own a state-of-the art device which was developed according to the latest available technical standards. It comes with a number of outstanding features. Please read the information before using this product. This manual gives important recommendations for installing and using this Lithium Ion based Solar Home Lighting System in three different models. The Solar Home Lighting System is for indoor use only. Solar Home lighting System: Solar Home Lighting system are portable to use in non-electrified rural areas and as emergency lighting system for domestic, commercial and industrial applications. This is an eco friendly back-up system with MPPT tracking technology where the output of the system can drive DC-LED lamps and a Mobile charging unit. Key Features: Maximum Power Point Tracking technology, which increases the efficiency of your system. Maintains Constant Current / Constant Voltage for charging the battery High efficiency. Allows the use of less expensive solar panels for 12V stand-alone systems. The charger features a smart tracking algorithm inside, that maximizes the energy from the solar PV module(s) and charge the battery. At the same time, the Low Voltage Disconnect function (LVD) will prevent the battery from over discharging. The System is easy to install and Compact in size. Mechanical Casing are conceptualized with aluminium extruded to increase the product robust and can be used with Table Top and wall mounting. The status LED s will keep the client updated with product running status lively Function: This Solar Home Lighting System is not only having above mentioned special function, at the same time including completely protecting and controlling functions such as follows: Overload protection / Short circuit Protection at load end. Battery Reverse Current Protection. Battery Overcharge and Discharge Protection. PV Reverse Polarity Protection. Surge / Transient Protection Battery Over Voltage / Under Voltage Protection Buzzer for LVD Note: Once the System goes to LVD (Low Voltage Disconnect) It will check PV for charging, If it doesn't get any input for next 5 min, it will automatically go to sleep mode, Then we have to press the ON/OFF button twice so that the System is ON with RED & BLUE led Glowing, then plug in Solar Panel in the System and Observe all the 3 leds glowing, If the System is ON and not connected to PV again it will wait for 5 min and again goes to sleep mode. Safety Features: Batteries store a large amount of energy. Never short circuit a battery under all circumstances Do not short the external contacts on a battery. To avoid voltages on wires, First connect the wire to battery then to the Panel and.finally connect the Load Terminals. Remove all sources of photovoltaic and battery before servicing or installing. Please observe the safety recommendations of the battery manufacturer. If in doubt, consult your dealer or installer
Do not disassemble or modify batteries Disassembling a battery from the power box is dangerous and may result in explosion or fire. Do not expose batteries to heat or fire Do not expose batteries to fire. This is dangerous and can result in explosions or fire. Heating batteries may cause them to leak or explode. Keep batteries out of reach of children Keep batteries out of reach of children. In the event that a battery is swallowed, immediately consult a doctor. In addition, do not allow children to remove batteries from devices and do not allow animals to play with batteries. General Safety Precautions Safety Precautions to be followed while Installation, Operation & Maintenance. Incorrect installation or use may result in risk of electric shock or fire. Do s: Install this Solar Home Lighting System in a ventilated area. Keep the Charger away from children. Switch OFF all accessories before for maintenance if any. Make sure the PV cable which is used is appropriate to design and load calculation. For the first time after installation the Solar Home Lighting System should be charged till the battery full condition (minimum one day). Don ts: Do not open the casing while the batteries /Solar panel while the SHS is ON condition. Do not mix different rating/make of batteries. Do not connect the Solar Home Lighting System to loads other than that recommended by manufacturer. Do not operate the damaged cables Never smoke or allow a spark or flame in vicinity of battery. Do not use any other adapter for charging the solar home lighting system. * Except the specified Solar Panel. Do not plug in the solar connector while the Solar Home Lighting System is in OFF condition.. Do not switch off the Solar Home Lighting System box while the solar is ON. Do not continuously power ON/OFF the Solar Home Lighting System. Do not deep dry the battery. After LVD the Solar Home Lighting System should be connected for charging. * If needs we can provide you the adapter or Buy branded adapter with 12V/1A rated. Where to install? Dry Area : Do not allow water to drip or splash on the power box Cool : The surrounding temperature near the system should be 0 C to 45 C (32 F to 113 F). A cooler environment is better for the system Safe : Do not Keep power box near the storage of an inflammable gas / liquid. Do not place objects on top of this charger. General Installation Notes: Read through the entire installation section first before beginning the installation. Avoid direct sunlight and do not install in locations where water can enter the controller. Loose power connections and/or corroded wires may result in resistive connections that melt wire insulation, burn surrounding materials, or even cause fire. Ensure tight connections and use cable clamps to secure cables and prevent them from swaying in mobile applications. Select the system cables according to 3A/mm 2 current density. Connect PV Terminals with solar panel by ensuring correct polarity (Wrong Polarity connection will lead to permanent failure of the product). Connect the loads with Li-ion charger with output load connectors provided Precautions: Do Not Continuously Switch ON and OFF the Supply of the Solar Home Lighting
System. Do Not Continuously Switch ON and OFF the load cable switches of the Solar Home Lighting System. Ensure that the System is ON while connecting the panel Solar Home Lighting System - 40W Connection Procedure: Switch ON the Solar Home Lighting System and Observe that blue Led Glows. Connect the Panel and Observe Green Led Glows while Charging Connect the corresponding loads given with the Power box. Higher rating LED lamps can t be used.
