Connecting the Unit to Power Before plugging in the AC power cord to the AC wall outlet, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is same as that indicated on the rating plate. Battery Backup Battery backup will preserve the current time, alarm settings, and stored radio stations in the case of power failure or interrupted AC power. Setting the Clock 1. With the unit in CLOCK mode (i.e., the radio is off), press and hold the CLK/MEM button for about 1 second. The time will begin to flash on the display. 2. Press the HOUR/TUN+ button to adjust the hour; press the MIN/TUN button to adjust the minute. 3. When the correct time is set, press the CLK/MEM button again to confirm. Insert two UM-4 batteries (AAA) into the battery compartment. Be sure to observe the proper polarity (the + and - signs) as indicated inside the battery compartment. www.naxa.com Page 5

Setting the Alarms 1. With the unit in CLOCK mode (i.e., the radio is off), press the AL1/+ button to set Alarm 1 (or press AL2/ to set Alarm 2). The ALARM time will begin to flash on the display. 2. Press the HOUR/TUN+ button to adjust the alarm hour; press the MIN/TUN button to adjust the alarm minute. 3. When the desired alarm time is set, press the AL1/+ button to confirm (or AL2/ ). 4. Press the AL1/+ button (or AL2/ ) to toggle between wake to buzzer or wake to radio modes. The current alarm wake mode is indicated on the display. Snooze Function 1. Whenever the alarm (radio or buzzer) activates, it can be temporarily suspended 9 minutes by pressing the SNOOZE/SLEEP button once. 2. The buzzer or radio will then sound again automatically after 9 minutes. This procedure can be repeated for up to approximately one hour. Turning off the Alarm Press the SOURCE/AL.OFF button to turn the alarm off when it sounds. Page 6 Naxa Electronics

Listening to the FM Radio 1. Press the SOURCE/AL.OFF button to select the FM radio band. 2. Press the HOUR/+ or MIN/ button to manually tune to a radio station. 3. Press and hold the HOUR/+ or MIN/ button for approximately 1 second to scan to the next station with a strong signal. Stations with a weak signal can only be tuned in manually. 4. To turn off the radio, press and hold the SOURCE/AL.OFF button for approximately 1 second. Saving a Radio Station to Memory 1. Tune the radio to the desired station. 2. Press and hold the CLK/MEM button to save the current station to the next preset station number. The display will show PXX (where XX is a preset station number from 01 to 10). 3. Up to 10 FM radio stations can be stored in memory. To Listen to a Saved Radio Station 1. Press the SOURCE/AL.OFF button to select the FM radio band. 2. Press the CLK/MEM button to skip to tune to the next preset station. www.naxa.com Page 7

Turning Off the Radio While in radio mode, press and hold the SOURCE/AL OFF button for approximately 1 second. Sleep to Music Function Place the radio on a timer so that you can listen to music as you fall asleep. 1. Press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button. The display will show the default sleep time of 90 minutes. 2. Continue to press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button to toggle through the timer length options (90-80-70-60-50-40-30-20-10 min. or OFF). 3. The radio will turn off automatically after the set time has elapsed. Page 8 Charging Your Devices Connect the standard end of a USB cable (not included) to the USB port on the rear of the unit and connect the other end to the charging port of your device. USB cables may differ by manufacturer, so be sure to use the one provided with your device.
