50 Tannery Road, Unit 3 Branchburg, NJ 08822 1-800-407-3726 www.drain-net.com Dear Sir/Madam: VAC S was founded in response to a real problem existing in healthcare facility management today. OSHA s standards allow bulk blood, suctioned fluids, secretions and excretions to be poured down a drain as well as other infectious waste capable of being ground and flushed down. Exposure potential to infectious and hazardous waste is tremendous in a facility where every waste line must be suspected of containing blood borne pathogens. Government regulations stipulate the use of engineering controls whenever possible to reduce or eliminate the risk of contact with potentially hazardous waste. Drain-Net has developed VACS (Valve Access cleanout System) to drastically reduce exposure potential during waste line cleaning procedures, such as snaking a clogged drain. Direct valved-access to the line allows one-pass clearing of blocked line. The uncontrolled discharge of raw sewage, through the opening of clean-out fittings or the dismantling of a sink trap, is eliminated. The VACS accessory kit cleans and disinfects the plumber s snake as it is withdrawn from the waste line, eliminating the splashing and spraying associated with the procedure. In addition to improved safety of workers, staff, and patients in a facility incorporating our design, we also offer significant cost savings every time our product is used. Current Safe Work Practice guidelines require extensive precaution before, during, and after a drain cleaning procedure that add hours or time and labor to simple clogged drain. The VACS fittings and accessories keep the waste in the water line. Not on the worker or the work site. A VAC S meets and exceeds all current requirements for protection against exposure to potentially hazardous materials. We are looking forward to an opportunity to present the products to you and your staff. Protect your workers, protect your patients. Install VACS today. Fast. Safe. Clean. Sincerely, John Matonis President

V a l v e - A c c e s s C l e a n o u t S y s t e m Work Safe. Work Fast. Work Clean. When you install you will reduce service time by up to 70%! Only one attempt is necessary to clear a clogged sewer drain. Pays for itself in one use and saves money. When you cut your service and clean up time, you re saving more than what the unit costs. Protects your work environment. Direct contact with raw sewage during drain cleaning procedures is nearly eliminated. No more hazardous materials in the work place. No more inconvenient snake clean up. During removal from the waste line, the snake is scrubbed clean with cleaning brushes and sprayed with a disinfectant. Messy floors are eliminated. All hazards are contained within the system. No more splashing or spraying of potentially infectious wastes during use. Exceeds OSHA requirements for blood borne pathogens safety. There is no uncontrolled release of raw sewage during use. Easily retrofits onto any sink waste line.

8-step Installation: Designed for Speed. Engineered for Safety. Remove old trap from sink fixture. Position the three-way valve on either the left or right side of the sink so that the ball valve is accessible and operational. (Universal Design allows installation under virtually any sink.) Mount to tail piece using compression nut and washer. Use tubular brass extension piece to connect the Tri-Bow to the waste line. Make certain Ball Valve is in the closed position. Install the square head Cleanout Plug. Tighten compression nuts and washers and test the sink for leaks by turning on sink faucet. You re finished! It s that simple. To place your order or learn more please call 1-800-407-3726 or visit www.pep-plastic.com.

How it Works When is installed and a clogged drain occurs, there is no more bailing of the raw materials as with the old unclogging procedures. A drain can be cleared in as little as 15 minutes following these simple steps: 1. Be sure the Ball Valve is in the closed position. 2. Remove the Cleanout Plug and attach the Cyclone Rinsing System Hose to the Ball Valve.(Be sure the Funnel is secured above the top/flood rim of the affected sink.) 3. Open the Ball Valve. The backed up waste water will rise up the Hose (it will not overflow). It creates safe access to the waste-line without discharging sewer wastes or gases into the work environment. 4. Standing in an upright position, the plumber enters the snake into the Funnel. A safe distance from the waste line is now maintained and unnecessary strain on the back is reduced. 5. The plumber continues to feed the snake through the waste line until water begins to drain from the Hose. (This indicates that the clog has been cleared). Fast. Safe. Simple. 6. Once the clog is cleared, turn on the hot water in the sink. (This keeps the snake spinning in the waste line. The water pre-rinses the snake and washes away any solid materials scraped from the inside walls of the waste pipe.) 7. When satisfied the line is cleared, turn the hot water off. Attach the inlet hose of the D-Chamber (Disinfecting Tank) to the faucet, and the attach the outlet hose to the Halo Spray Dispenser 8. Insert the cleaning brushes into the Funnel. 9. Turn the water back on as the disinfecting solution is pumped and sprayed over the cleaning brushes, into the device. 10. Slowly withdraw the snake through the Funnel. The snake is brushed clean and washed with a disinfectant. That s it, you re finished! To place your order or learn more please call 1-800-407-3726 or visit www.pep-plastic.com.

Clean and Hygienic Built-In Snake Disinfecting Control Reduces Work-area Contamination Clear clogs and keep the contamination in the drain system. Patented cleanout system whisks the bacteria off of the snake during removal from the waste line. This cuts clean up time by up to 70%! Once the snake is out, close the Ball Valve, detach the Funnel and Hose, and replace the Cleanout Plug. Your work area needs no elaborate scrubbing or clean up. When You re Done, You re Done! The snake comes out clean and ready for the next job. All waste materials have been contained within the and waste line. No mess. No uncontrolled discharge of sewer wastes. No extensive clean up needed!

Service Cart Available The service cart shown is available to make your work even easier. The cutaway on the cart s top board anchors the funnel while you work. Simply wheel the cart to an equipped sink, and all the accessories can be stored on the bottom shelf with room to spare for your plumbing equipment such as wrenches, power-snake, gloves, goggles, and more. Under the OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen Standard of 1992, corrective engineering controls and work procedures must be employed when servicing clogged sanitary sewer drains... this standard includes sink drains. Hospitals are permitted to use drains to dispose of unsanitary materials. Drains harbor hazardous and infectious wastes, and are breeding-grounds for biohazards. With standard trap designs, elaborate exposure controls are required while the drain is open, and the work area and equipment must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after servicing. This results in greatly increased time and material costs. Patented technology allows drain cleaning without fixture removal. When the clogged drain is cleared YOU RE FINISHED. There is no bailing and no release of raw sewage into the work area. Insist on it. Work Safe. Work Fast. Work Clean. United Management Group 04042005 Designed for Speed. Engineered for Safety. P.E.P.
