PRESENTATION AGENDA Product overview Key Challenges Key Advantages How it works Use cases

KEY CHALLENGES A large investments were made into traditional SNMP-oriented monitoring systems (licenses, personnel skills, trainings, etc.). There are a lot of non-snmp hardware and software with proprietary EMS systems or even without control. Important hardware and software events are lost or missed at the borders among a lot of EMS-systems and monitoring systems used as there s no cross-domain RCA (root cause analysis). As there s no umbrella monitoring system there s no no clear vision of the entire infrastructure.

KEY CHALLENGES The inevitable use of heterogeneous hardware and software in the infrastructure leads to the following challenges facing the business: How to ensure a high level of availability of the entire infrastructure? How to guarantee the effective functioning of the infrastructure while providing support of decision making and transparency at all management levels, which is a critical business requirements for most companies? How to achieve a common approach to control the state of the entire infrastructure with common rules of data processing and representation? How to reduce maintenance and support costs of large number of Monitoring Systems?

KEY ADVANTAGES Universe solid solution for monitoring any kind of hardware/software Ability to control services provided for business from every piece of hardware/software used in environment Protection for previous investments made in fault and performance management system All-in-one point of the control for the whole environment

KEY CHALLENGES

HOW IT WORKS? Data collection Module - Responsible for collecting information from the devices. The polling process uses network (SSH, Telnet, FTP, HTTP) and hardware communication protocols (USB, RS232, RS485, I ² C, SPI, etc.). Emulation Module - Based on the information transmitted from the data collection module, emulation module creates a new device for each separate network subinterface and assign it a unique IP-address, which then used for monitoring the device via SNMP.

BENEFITS Versatility - INITI All2SNMP allows creating a standard SNMP interface for any non-snmp devices; - The existence of internal data storage allows realizing emulation of active interaction with devices that have no feedback; - INITI All2SNMP can be uniformly applied to any SNMP monitoring tools. Flexibility - The possibility to connect new devices or change the logical components of the devices already connected through changes in the configuration description; - The possibility of self-expansion of the existing connectors to the devices and creating new connectors; Scalability - One installation of INITI All2SNMP on low-end server hardware can handle a few thousand of non-snmp devices; - The solution has a full horizontal scaling by dividing the IP ranges of virtual address space.
