Amendments to the IMDG Code and MARPOL Annex III MSC 90 adopted amendments to SOLAS Ch. VII and the IMDG Code including annexes with updated information of dangerous goods Regulation VII/4 now specifies which documents shall be available to parties involved when carrying dangerous goods in packaged form The amended IMDG Code comes into force 1 January 2014 The amendments may be applied on a voluntary basis from 1 January 2013 Similarly, MEPC 61 adopted a revised MARPOL, Annex III, Regulations for the prevention of pollution by harmful substances carried by sea in packaged form; enters into force on 1 January 2014 14

GBS Rule Verification - IACS CSR-H Classification Societies are required to submit their Rules to IMO for verification of conformity to GBS in accordance with res. MSC.296(87) by the end of 2013 1 July 2012 IACS released a draft set of harmonized Common Structural Rules for an initial external hearing until end of 2012.
