1 a Domestic market shares in admissions 2005-2009 Admission market shares of domestic films in the Netherlands (including co productions) in 2009 dropped slightly to 17,4 after the significant increase to 17,9 in 2008. US films regained their 2007 position of 65. That is even higher than the percentage of France (fell back to 31) which shares were unchallenged on top of this ranking for many years. Noteworthy as well are the dropping percentages of England and Denmark to 17. For both countries this means almost a decrease of 50. Our domestic shares tend to be the lowest for many years, but this seems to be shifting slowly. This year we take the 5th position in this list with a of 17,4. french films in France British films in GB Danish films in Denmark comparison of national market shares in percentage 50 40 30 Italian films in Italy Swedish films in Sweden Spanish films in Spain German films in Germany Domestic films in The Netherlands 20 10 Belgian films in Belgium 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 7

We still experience relatively low admissions per capita compared to the other European countries, although we re approaching Italy, and Sweden. 3 norway denmark belgium 2 sweden italy germany the netherlands finland 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 1 19 Box office versus DVD Blu-Ray sales and rental The total GBO from theatrical release in 2009 increased significantly to 201 million. This is caused by an increase of admissions in 2009, as well by the extra charges on top of the ticket prize for 3D-releases. The total value of dvd sales dropped again this year. Blu ray increased. First half 2010: Total value of home video sales of DVD and Blu ray: 134,31 mil. After recent analysis by Screen Digest the 2004-2009 rental figures have been recalculated.
