Nokia Wireless Music Receiver MD-310 Issue 1.0

2 About your music receiver With the Nokia Wireless Music Receiver MD-310, you can enjoy your favourite music in high-quality audio without the hassle of changing CDs or trailing long cables across the room. To play music straight from your compatible device, such as a phone or music player, connect the receiver to your audio system, and then connect your device to the receiver using Bluetooth. You can connect another device to the music receiver on the go, without stopping the music playing. Read this user guide carefully before using the product. Also, read the user guide for the device that you connect to the product. Warning: This product may contain small parts. Keep them out of the reach of small children. The surface of this product is nickel-free. About Bluetooth You can use Bluetooth to wirelessly connect devices and accessories to other compatible devices, such as phones. Devices do not need to be in direct line-of-sight, but they must be within 100 metres (330 feet) of each other, if both devices are Bluetooth Class 1 devices. If not, the devices must be within 10 metres (33 feet) of each other. The connection may be affected by obstructions such as walls or other electronic devices. This device is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 3.0 supporting the following profiles: A2DP. Check with the manufacturers of other devices to determine their compatibility with this device. Note: There may be restrictions on the use of Bluetooth technology in some countries. For example, in France, you are only allowed to use the Bluetooth technology of this product indoors. 4 Switch the music receiver off Press and hold the multifunction key for 6 seconds. When you disconnect a cable, hold and pull the plug, not the actual cable. Pair your device Pair and connect Before using your music receiver with a compatible Bluetooth device, such as a phone, for the first time, you must pair and connect it to the device. You can pair your music receiver with up to 8 devices, but you can only connect it to one device at a time. Pair the music receiver manually 1 Switch the compatible device and the music receiver on. 2 Press and hold the multifunction key. The Bluetooth status indicator light starts to blink 3 Within 3 minutes, activate Bluetooth on the compatible device, and set it to search for Bluetooth devices. 4 Select the music receiver from the list of found devices. 5 If required, enter the passcode 0000. Pair the music receiver using NFC With Near Field Communication (NFC), you can easily pair and connect your music receiver to your compatible device. If the compatible device supports NFC, activate its NFC feature, and touch the NFC area of the music receiver with the NFC area of your device. The music receiver connects to the device automatically. For details on NFC, see the user guide of the device. If the device does not support NFC, pair the music receiver manually. 5 When the music receiver is not connected, the Bluetooth status indicator light is white. Connect to a device Press the multifunction key. The Bluetooth indicator light pulsates, and the music receiver connects to the last device it was used with. If the connected device leaves Bluetooth range, the music receiver tries to reconnect for 3 minutes. If the device returns within range, the music receiver reconnects automatically. Change the connected device Press the multifunction key. The music receiver connects to the next device on the paired devices list. You can change the connected device any time, even when streaming music. Clear the pairings You can clear the pairings on your music receiver. Switch the music receiver off, and press and hold the multifunction key for 10 seconds. The red and white indicator lights alternate. After the pairings are cleared, you must pair and connect the music receiver to a compatible device before you can use it again.
