The Sharing knowledge and good time on Self Sufficiency, Agroforestry and Agro-ecological practices Presentation of Pure Farm activities and invitation program

What is the Pure Farm? Objectives and operations The Pure Farm was created in August 2010, on the initiative of Thamonwan Thitikarn (Founder of Pure Project Thailand), Khun Anan Somjak (Rice and Self Sufficiency Master) and Tristan Lecomte (Founder Pure Project France), on 22 Rai of Land (3.5 ha). The Pure Farm is located 1 hour drive away from Chiang Mai, in the Dong Djiang Community who is particularly well and traditionally organized and oriented towards organic agriculture and self sufficiency, for many of its members, like Khun Anan, who is a master in this field. The Objective is to develop a model farm, combining agroforestry and agroecological practices, with the Self Sufficiency model envisioned by the King of Thailand. The Pure Farm wishes both to share this experience with local farmers as well as with Thai authorities and tourists or any person interested in observing or participating to the experience. The Pure Farm is funded by Pure Project but fully managed and developed by Khun Anan, a master both in technical as well as ethical terms. The objective is to prove the model, share it and dupplicate it in Thailand and other countries, as a long term objective. Key Milestones : -August 2010 : Project Start -August 2011 : Opening, first visitors -August 2014 : Farm fully self-sufficient -August 2015 : Model Dupplication

How can you join? Until 2014, the model is still in construction, some trees not being mature yet to deliver fruits. But you can participate to build the model by : -Coming to work on the farm, and get the fruits of your work -Staying at the farm, observing, learning and participating to activities. -Funding specific activities : agroforestry, SRI (system of rice intensification), Rice Ducking, Permaculture arrangments,..) -Communicating and sharing about the Pure Farm, bringing farmers and people interested in these topics, media,.. After the model is proven (2014-2015), you can participate in dupplicating the model, in Thailand or anywhere else in the World..

Housing at the Pure Farm... You will be hosted in a spacious and confortable traditional bamboo farmer house Tiang Na made of local and natural materials, handmade by the local community, and powered by solar energy..

Activities at the Pure Farm... Learning the SRI method : System of Rice intensification, planting rice without water, and getting better yields, without any chemical input. Learning traditional rice cultivation, from seedlings to harvest.

Activities at the Pure Farm... Planting trees and developing agroforestry parcels. Trees species shall cover all the needs of the Pure Farm from fruits, timber, fragrances,,to animal habitat and biodiversity preservation. It consists of native species only.

Activities at the Pure Farm... There is so much to do and discover on a self-sufficient farm : from harvesting bananas and many other fruits, to collect crabs for a traditional sum tam, feeding the cows and learning how to make your own bamboo home..

Activities at the Pure Farm... Learn how to make organic compost, a carbon neutral house, with solar panels, an organic veggie garden, or simply participate to the manual weeding activities...

Activities at the Pure Farm... Live as a farmer for a day or more, discover daily life in a traditional community. Far from mass tourism and tourists traps...

Activities at the Pure Farm... Sharing Traditional Thai Farmers' life. Getting to know genuine Thai environment, culture, values and daily community life. Share the life and pure vision of thai farmers with your kids and family. Let the Spirit of the King of Thailand come into your life.

The full picture of Pure Farm.. SOCIAL Increasing farmers revenues Building social immunity following the King's vision Being fully self sufficient Sharing with genuine people.. SOILS Natural soil enrichment Intercroping Soils regeneration with green manure.. WATER BIODIVERSITY Preserving Biodiversity by planting many varieties, some natural habitats to birds and other species Valuing old rice species by developing in situ rice bank.. Water management in rural communities Watershed preservation by planting trees Growing rice without water Rituals for water conservation...

Learn about forest carbon project... The Pure Farm is located within a community reforestation carbon project developed by Pure Project. You can participate to reforestation and forest conservation activities and get to understand fully how it works, from within... You can calculate and offset your emissions, and follow-up on your trees via Google Earth... A unique experience to become carbon neutral...
