our vision, mission, values and standards 2013 www.mcch.org.uk learning disability autism mental health
our vision, mission, values and standards This year we celebrate 25 years of mcch and look forward to an exciting future. It seems the right time to look again at the things which define us as an organisation. We asked people we support, families, staff and people who buy our services what they think of mcch and what our vision, values and standards should be. We also found out which words people liked best and which words we should not use because they are not easy to understand. Thank you to everyone who took part in our surveys or the special meetings we held across the organisation. Being clear about our vision, mission and values will help us plan new services and help our staff give the best support to people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and autism. Our new standards set out what people can expect from us, help us to review the quality of our work and make sure we are supporting people to achieve their goals. People we support will help us check whether we are meeting our standards by finding out from those who use our services how well we are doing and where we need to improve. Thank you for helping us carry out this important piece of work. I am confident this will help us continue to help people live the lives they choose. Peter Thompson Chief Executive
