and Polycom RealPresence Experience High Definition (RPX HD) End User Features Seamless Video Displays Large format, seamless video wall provides an uninterrupted view of the other room. Cinematic View of up to 16 feet of video with no bezels offers extraordinarily clear view. Instead of a window into the other room, we put you in the other room. Video Wall Dimensions With the 24:9 aspect ratio for the RPX 200 Series or 48:9 aspect ratio of the RPX 400 Series, the user has the greatest visibility into the other room. As users enter the suite, everyone can be seen in full view, just as if they are walking into the room. Even as users walk to the second or third tiers, they are seen in full height. The height of the displays preserves the virtual room connection. Quality of Environment Immersive Sensation High Definition Video and Audio Well-planned design, exacting symmetry, clean lines and consistency in furniture, wood finish and optional leather chairs all combine for a truly high quality environment. The user immediately feels comfortable upon entering the suite. The all inclusive environment with the ceiling cloud of acoustic baffling, studio quality lighting, sound paneled back wall, full-screen video on the front wall and calculated tableheight matching the far endpoint all contribute to an immersive feeling. It s the closest thing to being there. High definition video captured through fixed cameras and large format rear projection (with resolution and frame rate options of 1080p, 720p 60fps or 720p 30fps) creates true-tolife physical dimension for participants in an immersive meeting room. The StereoSurround Audio in 22 khz is natural, open in quality, and accurately synchronized with the picture to give spatial reference to voices across the suite. Both features enhance the feeling of being in the same room. 1

Interoperability Network Multipoint Capability Multi-Purpose Room Easy-to-Use Collaboration Hidden Technology The Polycom RPX HD Solutions are completely interoperable with all standards based video conferencing products ensuring that the end user can maximize their capital investment and continue to use legacy video solutions. You have choices when it comes to setting up the network to support the RPX HD Solutions. You can section off a slice of bandwidth from your existing infrastructure, or you can install a separate network to support the RPX HD Solution. By utilizing optional Managed Services, the user has the flexibility of connecting multiple RPX HD Suites at the same time. Add other video endpoint solutions for greater collaboration and global reach. Managed Services provide various layouts where participants can all be seen at the same time and will manage varying bandwidth constraints and IP and ISDN protocols. The RPX HD Solution is multi-purpose even when not being used for video communications. Off video, participants can be seated all around the oval shaped conference table, view content on the Personal Content Displays and be dialed into an audio bridge through the Touch Screen control panel. Ideal applications may include using the room as a training room, traditional conference room or executive board room. Direct VGA connection allows users to present content at a moment s notice by simply plugging a VGA cable into a laptop. Share content of any type from the laptop including PowerPoint slides, Word documents, web pages, advertising campaigns or engineering drawings. Users can connect many types of media display devices such as DVD players, document cameras, etc. In-room network access allows for online collaboration with meeting tools such as MS Office LiveMeeting. With the compact high definition cameras hidden behind the video displays, the microphones suspended from the ceiling cloud, the sound system out of view and no remote controls on the table, the technology is hidden and the meeting participants can focus on the business at hand. 2

All Inclusive Environment Room Mobility Flexibility of Design The solution arrives complete with virtually everything required for a dramatic RealPresence Experience with no additive equipment or room treatments needed. The walls, tables, carpeting, lighting, A/V components, touch panel control screen, and content displays are all included in a single package. Optional leather chairs are also available. This room-within-a-room design is constructed to facilitate an organization s move to a new facility or reallocation of space in the existing facility. The suite can be disassembled in its entirety and moved to a new location, leaving the original room intact. A wide choice of (7) different floor plans with varying seating capacities is available. Each plan comes with a choice of finishing treatments including wood finish and panel cloth color. Your organization s name and logo can optionally be printed on the back wall to provide a consistent design that s uniform across your company. Use your own chairs or select the optional leather chairs specifically designed for the RPX suite. Organizational Features Hidden Technology Ease of Use Executives, Boards of Directors and subject matter experts use their time in meetings more effectively because their focus is on the discussion at hand, not the technology. The natural eye contact and the ability to see every expression is what makes this the most natural experience available. Because there are no hand-held remote controls and no user interface, there s no learning curve. Optional Managed Services (a simple process for the user) can provide all the interaction required and as a result, people are more likely to use the suite. This increased use results in an accelerated return on investment for the organization. 3

Reliable Technology Security Room Comfort Consistent Performance Team Collaboration Virtual Transporter Predictable Deployment Schedule With contracted Managed Services supporting the RPX HD solution, the technology is available every time. Calls are conducted exactly on time every time and stay connected. This is backed by network Quality of Service initiatives. By utilizing AES software encryption for the voice, video and data streams of the call, critical meetings are kept confidential and secure. If optional Managed Services are used, they can operate in background mode with no access to data or voice exchanges. The end result is confidence that what transpires during meetings is kept confidential and the security of the organization is not compromised. The comfortable, inviting environment of an RPX HD solution encourages workers to gather for meetings without the fatigue experienced in typical conference room settings. Productivity is increased because workers spend more time working. The consistent call quality and predictable performance of the RPX solution increases confidence amongst the organization s workers. As a result, business relationships develop and become more solid through continual, face-to-face telepresence communications. Sharing ideas across distances is enhanced through content sharing and collaboration in conjunction with a real-life video presence. Creativity between distant teams is encouraged. The ability to virtually transport workers from one distant location to another eliminates the need for some travel. Limited financial and human resources that were spent on travel can be channeled into more productive efforts that will promote the value of the organization. As organizations look towards green initiatives, the RPX HD solution can play a large part in helping promote and implement this effort. A detailed project management program is maintained throughout the deployment cycle so the customer is fully aware of the status and can keep management updated. A well established schedule including make-ready, manufacturing, shipping, staging and installation are all precisely timed. The result is that the organization knows exactly when the suite will be functional and can plan meetings accordingly. There is no guess work for when the system will be completed and turned over for usage. 4

Seamless Implementation Operational Assurance Accepted Technology Functional Technology Our well-trained team of telepresence experts will help you achieve installation success, and in conjunction with your dedicated Project Manager, orchestrate all aspects of your RPX installation from planning to implementation. This enables you to focus on your core business objectives while we take care of your implementation. Comprehensive maintenance solution includes twice annual site visits to validate your configuration and fine tune your RPX HD solution. Properly maintain your investment with access to parts replacement (including furnishings), software upgrades and updates to stay current, and rely on 24x7 unlimited telephone support and next business day on-site response if needed. Video communication has become a business-accepted, productive means to connect dispersed team members and actually encourages more frequent collaboration. Your teams will accomplish more in shorter periods of time. The immersive environment and true-to-life physical dimensions of participants encourage greater dynamic interaction. As a result, project teams experience accelerated decision making and reduced time to market with new products. 5
