Course: Implementing Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches Duration: 3 Day Hands-On Lab & Lecture Course Price: $ 2,995.00 Learning Credits: 30 Description: Implementing Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches (RSCAT6K) v1.0 is designed for systems and field engineers, consulting systems engineers, technical solutions architects, and Cisco integrators and Cisco Partners who install and implement the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches. The course covers the key components and procedures that are needed to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches in the network environment. To participate in the hands-on labs in this class, you need to bring a laptop computer with the following: Windows 7 or 8.1 or 10 is recommended. Mac OSX 10.6 or greater is supported as well. Intel Celeron or better processors are preferred. 1 GB or more of RAM Browser Requirements: Internet Explorer 10 or greater or Mozilla Firefox. (Safari and Mozilla Firefox for Mac OSX) Note: Our labs currently cannot run on Microsoft Edge (Windows 10) due to it not supporting Extensions/Add-ons or Google Chrome due to Java being removed from the platform itself. All students are required to have administrator rights to their PCs and cannot be logged in to a domain using any Group Policies that will limit their machine's capabilities. If you do not have administrator rights to your PC, you at least need permissions to download, install, and run Cisco Any Connect Client and Java. If you are participating in a WebEx event, it is highly recommended to take this class at a location that has bandwidth speeds at a minimum of 1 Mbps bandwidth speeds. All PCs require the latest Java Runtime Environment, which can be downloaded from www.java.com. If you have any questions or issues with meeting the requirements listed above, please contact us at rl RSCAT6K v1.0 Page 1/5 www.skyline-ats.com

Objective: Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives: Identify the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches product family, specifically the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches chassis and components Given a requirement, identify how to plan and implement virtual switch services into the solution Evaluate the security features that are available on the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches to identify which features should be implemented in to a solution Evaluate the service-level and network-level high availability of the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and how to use the Cisco IOS In-Service Software Upgrade feature Understand the processes, tools, and resources for troubleshooting the network infrastructure, interconnectivity, and operations Prerequisites: The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are as follows: Cisco CCNA level of knowledge is recommended for students attending this course. Who Should Attend: The primary audience for this course is as follows: Systems and field engineers Consulting system engineers Technical solutions architects The secondary audience for this course is as follows: Cisco integrators Cisco Partners who are installing and implementing the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches RSCAT6K v1.0 Page 2/5 www.skyline-ats.com
