COMB GUIDES The table below explains the trim length for each comb. You should start out with a longer trim length comb and work your way down to the desired trim length. S1 S2 S3 J1 J2 J3 5-POSITION COMB S1 Close stubble look S2 Medium stubble look S3 High stubble look J1 1mm trim J2 2mm trim J3 3mm trim 4mm, 6.5mm, 9mm, 11.5mm & 14mm trims How To Use 5 position Comb Guide The trimmer includes a five-position comb for use with the hair trimming blade (4-14mm). Each position increases the length by 2.5mm.

To use the 5-position comb, slide the unit over the trimmer blade and snap it down into position. At first, until you become familiar with the adjustments, use the longest trim setting. (You can always go back and make your beard a little shorter.) Begin trimming your beard using smooth, even strokes. Start with your sideburns and work downward toward your chin. (Never attempt to trim against the natural growth of your beard because the hair will be cut too short.) If you decide you want a closer trim, you can now adjust the 5-position comb attachment to a shorter setting (such as 4mm or 6.5mm) and go over your beard again until you achieve the desired length. Stubble Trimming The three stubble attachments will help you to achieve the perfect stubble you are looking to achieve. S1 = close stubble, S2 = medium stubble, S3 = longer stubble Hold the trimmer in an upright position and begin trimming under your jawline, using short, even strokes. Blending the Jawline The three jawline attachments will help you to achieve a neat, finished trim under your chin. To use one of the attachments, press it down over the trimmer blades until it clicks into position (jawline J1 provides 1mm,

jawline J2 provides 2mm and jawline J3 provides 3mm). Hold the trimmer in an upright position and begin trimming under your jawline, using short, even strokes. After your beard is blended, turn off the trimmer and remove the attachment by gently pulling up on tab. Nose & Ear Trimmer To remove the precision trimmer, hold the handle of the appliance with one hand, hold the head with the other hand and pull the head back and away from the front of the handle. To attach the nose and ear trimmer head, make sure that the base of the head is seated in the handle, click the head into position. Using the Nose & Ear Trimmer: For the safe and easy removal of unwanted nose and ear hair use the rotary trimmer head. Switch the trimmer on. Insert the trimmer into the nose or ear and gently move the trimmer in a circular motion. Only use the trimmer at the entrance to the ear or nose. Do not use any deeper, as this could cause injury. Never turn the trimmer off whilst in the nose and ear hair. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE For easy cleaning, the blades on your BaByliss For Men clipper are removable. Regular cleaning will maintain their high performance level. To clean proceed as follows: Switch the appliance off and unplug at the mains supply. Remove any comb guides. Rinse the comb guide under running

water and dry thoroughly before storage or use. Before storing you trimmer use a cleaning brush to whisk away any loose hair from the unit and the blades. You should remove the upper blade after a few uses to clean between the blades. To remove entire blade set from your trimmer, make sure the trimmer is in the OFF position. Remove the blade set by placing thumb against the smaller cutter and pushing forward, releasing the cutter assembly from the trimmer housing. Replace with new cutting system and reverse the removal procedure, only this time place your thumb on the large cutter and snap into place.
